"What a rad theater. Great picture quality, awesome sound. Spacious auditorium. I bought large popcorn, large soda, and two snacks and the price was SHOCKINGLY low. So crazy. I attended a private event - you can rent out this awesome space! They have a great selection of snacks, sodas, some delicious beers, and food. Great theater. The people working last night were super friendly. 10/10."
"One of my top three favorite movies theaters! They show new movies at a lower price as well as many classics, the owner Jeff and his staff are all friendly, they have good deals on snacks as well! I'll take the nostalgic charm of Joy Cinema over a big Regal or Cinemark theater any day!"
"I love this place. Do not expect a fancy, modern venue. In fact, it's like taking a trip back to the early 1900s. It has the obligatory marquee. The lobby and restrooms are filled with movie posters from that era. The snack bar is adequate and includes items like pizza, beers, wines, soft drinks, $2-$3 candy, popcorn, hotdogs etc. Ticket prices are more than competitive. Watch for specials either on their marquee or website. Normally I go nights when tickets are only$3/show and attend both features. Years ago, they couldn't afford maintenance and one would find areas of seats roped off needing repair, a ceiling that leaked, seats that almost made you slide on the floor. It was generally in disrepair. Now, while obviously operating on a shoestring, most of the above is not the case. The people at the snack bar are very friendly and helpful. I'm not sure but would guess it's family owned. For the price it's a great deal and makes for an enjoyable evening."
