"As an African American patient I am very disappointed in the level of care I experienced today. You will get treated like a number and she can’t guarantee she will be physician to deliver your baby. At this point Swedish experience has been great until I actually met this woman. I can’t even call her a Dr because her level of care is a zero. Keep in mind this was a very slow day with barely any patients. When i walked back into my appointment nurse ask me if it’s ok for a resident to assist stating they will be in the room at the same time. I get a knock at the and it’s a resident Ben. Who I must say was extremely caring and nice. He checked on my emotion and did my ultrasound which I found very misleading giving how it was explained that he will be assisting. This would be my first time seeing Dr Dawkins due to her busy schedule. I have been extremely patient and excited to see her based on reviews. I thought her busy schedule indicated how great of a doctor she was so I made sure all of my appointments were scheduled up to delivery to accommodate her. So for her to enter the room give me 5 minutes of her time not getting to know me was very alarming. She asked if I had any questions and I said no because the resident pretty much did her job. She also explain that she may not be one delivering my baby. I explained how I did all this research and came all the way to Ballard clinic to see her and she did not care. She then proceeded to ask me how I was doing like it was a formality but not genuinely wanting to know the answer. Very awkward given the fact that she did not do ultrasound or ask anything about the baby. I literally cried all the way home."

"Dr Dawkins takes the time to really listen to her patients. I am so thankful I switched to her."
