Reviews of The Outback Kangaroo Farm
"We did the noon tour on Sunday at the end of the summer. This place is not so busy that you need to buy tickets ahead of time, but just make sure you are on time for the tours. The tours are 40 mins and only available at 10am, 12pm, 2pm, and 4pm Thursday to Sunday. I did not know there were tour times and showed up 20 mins past 10 am, and they wouldn't let me join late. I'm glad because I would have missed most of the animals! There is a lot to see here. It is quite dusty for people with allergies and otherwise, the property is well taken care of. Do not try to pet the tortoise. You can feed most of the animals, which was a really cool experience. I highly recommend this spot. If you are coming up to the farm, make sure you slow down so you don't miss the entrance. It is hard to find a turnout spot nearby."
"Drove up from Vancouver for the day to check out the kangaroo farm with my son. My boy is a huge animal fanatic. He loved every minute of it, they have all sorts of exotic animals that are pretty hard to see around here. It was fun getting to pet the kangaroos too. Most were pretty skittish and hopped away, but there were a few that were very friendly and allowed close contact. The tour lasted about 40 minutes. The tour guide was the weakest part of the experience. I wish the guide had talked more about the history of the farm and about the animals themselves. Overall pretty good. My son wanted to see and pet live kangaroos and he got his wish. Was a great day."
"It was a fun day, visiting the kangaroo farm. It had been raining and it was quite muddy and very slippery. Bring boots for sure. You can pet all the animals except for the Shetland pony, it bites."
"Fifteen of us went, so it was $10 per person. I felt the price was okay. Individual tickets were $25; I'm not sure if it's worth that money. The kids enjoyed petting the animals, and we had a quick guided tour."
"Our family had a fun time on the farm. You can get really close to the animals and even pet them if the animals are in mood for visitors. Check out the tour timing before you plan your visit. It’s a little smaller than what we expected but my babies had a blast. We got to see Llama, alpacas, mini horse, baby goats, big birds, miss piggy, lemur monkeys, wallabies and kangaroos. Peacocks and chicken are roaming freely on the farm. They also have a big tortoise. Honey buckets on site."
