"As someone who sought for the convenience of taking the link, Colina was just the apartment I was looking for and so we decided to sign a lease. The moving process all went smooth! It was a great experience. But I guess that’s where it ends. A few months ago, I started hearing unbearable noises from my neighbors, causing our place to rattle and vibrate. It’s so severe that I get waken up in the middle of the night by the thudding sounds. I thought it was best to talk to the management first. I tried to reach out in various occasions and ways, but the manager is always unavailable per Amanda, the front desk person. I thought it was odd since this is the first time I had a property manager who is always inaccessible to tenants. Amanda would always attempt to handle my concerns herself but I found that she’s poor at resolving issues. During some interactions I had with her, I was treated unfairly and was disrespected over the phone. She eventually said that they have no solutions to offer regarding my concern and to get used to the noises. I was baffled! For an apartment advertised as ‘luxury’ you would think that they invested in a high-quality insulation—nope.. you pay premium rent along with some questionable items on the utilities just to live miserably. Along with that, you can be subject to unfair treatment. After expressing my frustration, the property manager reached out to me. Naz is very understanding and easy to talk to. She’s doing her best to help me as much as possible and offered me better solutions. I’m feeling better about the situation currently, but it was disappointing that I had to go through a rough experience."
"I've only been here for a couple of months, but I have loved living at the Colina and am very grateful for the management team. Nav, Gilbert, and Karla have been kind, patient, and quick to respond to any concerns or questions that I've had about my lease, fees, or maintenance requests (including finding the correct garbage disposal!). It has been easy to communicate with them by sending them an email or find them at the office. The building itself is fantastic. The building is actually well insulated from noise from the streets (though you will hear noises, it will be significantly muffled compared to when you open your window), I love having both laundry machines and a dishwasher in unit. I run over to Red Apple whenever I'm missing an ingredient and it's quick to take the light rail. The rooftop view and community room is beautiful. I love doing some remote work in the community room and look forward to hanging out on the rooftop when the weather warms up again. Thank you management team! All my friends who come over love the Colina and I have had a great experience. addition 12/28/2023: Parker is very thoughtful and quickly attentive to maintenance issues, whether it be a broken oven or beeping in the hallway. Thank you!"
"The move in process was very smooth. I was given so much information prior to move in day (where to park, initial costs, exact address, how to connect electric, internet, etc.) Carla was so super helpful I really appreciate her! She responded to emails in a timely manner and I had so many questions, as I was moving from out of state. I did a walk through on move in day with one of the property managers and maintenance which was great. I then signed all paperwork and that was it. Very easy and efficient! It's only been a few days but I'm loving it at Colina so far!"
"Beware Colina was bought by an SF real estate investment firm. They do not care about their current residents. The new property manager from Thrive is condescending and not very welcoming. My partner and I moved out due to rent increases. In addition, during the management transition I was not receiving email responses back in a timely manner. This was very frustrating given that I would be charged a high monthly rent if management did not give me my lease termination. Lastly after move out I was charged for several fees and when asked for an explanation the new property manager made comments that the fees were cheap. Getting charged a couple hundred dollars for minor repairs did not seem “cheap” to me. Overall, I loved living at Colina. I only have amazing things to say about the previous Thrive property management team. They always made us feel so welcomed, quick to respond to needs and cared about their residents. I hope that the new property manager and owner will take better care of their residents. Luckily for me I moved out but it left a bitter taste at the end and if things don’t change I would not recommend you moving in."
"We installed Luxer One package lockers at the Colina. Stephanie and her team were so great to work with! Always responsive and helpful in getting us the information and access we needed to get the job done. It's so clear they really care about giving their residents the best at the Colina."
