"UPDATE: Been waiting six months to have my window fixed! It’s all lip service and empty promises. This must be some sort of violation right!?!! I have so many work requests it ridiculous! DORIS doesn't work here anymore. So disregard those reviews. Because that was a short positive blip in the several years I have lived here. It is a revolving door for property managers and maintenance. Currently you’d be hard pressed to reach anyone let alone leave a voicemail. I have several issues in my apartment that have not been attended to for months. Laundry facilities are disgusting if and when they work. Management only surfaced recently when another tenant posted on yelp our incident with someone sleeping on our stairs who decided to defecate on them. Took several days to remedy even that. Good neighbors, good location. Terrible management."
"Current renter and have been struggling since the day I moved in. Previous reviews are correct - there is trash everywhere. People leave boxes of stuff when they move out in the halls. The hallways are also filthy - carpets look like they have not been professionally cleaned since the building opened and the halls have not been repainted. I currently have a heater broken in the room that has gone unfixed for two weeks and I can't get a hold of maintenance. I have had other repairs that have taken months to get addressed."
"The apartment complex has been with some significant issues that have made my living situation quite challenging. The maintenance of the building is lacking, as evidenced by the recent flooding incident in my bedroom, where with the heavy rains water invaded my apartment. The delay in fixing this problem, lack of responses and cleaning the affected area is certainly very frustrating. Moving into an apartment that wasn't properly cleaned beforehand, with dirty carpets, kitchen, and flooring, is unacceptable. The attempts to address these issues through reporting them on the inventory condition form and reaching out to management have gone unanswered, which further compounds the problem. It's disappointing that Cushman & Wakefield, the management company, hasn't shown sufficient care and responsiveness to the concerns of residents. While the location might be convenient, the subpar living conditions overshadow its benefits. Additionally to everything, there are homeless individuals living on the 4th floor, using the staircase as a restroom, is a concerning and unsanitary situation that affects the safety and hygiene of the residents in the building. This feedback highlights critical areas where improvement is urgently needed. The management should prioritize the upkeep of the building's safety, address maintenance issues promptly, ensure proper cleaning standards before new residents move in, and take necessary steps to maintain the safety and cleanliness of shared spaces. Hopefully, sharing your experience will prompt the management to take proactive steps (not false promises) in rectifying these issues and creating a more habitable and pleasant living environment for all residents."
"Maintenance was spotty and took way too long for even urgent matters. Package theft is rife, tough to get things mailed there. Overall affordable for the neighborhood."
"I'm a recent resident of Greenlake Terrace Apartments. Most of these old negative reviews are prior to the new property management. I've had a fantastic experience with Doris, the most recent property manager. She is attentive, responsive, and kind. She goes above and beyond here, and I appreciate having a property manager who treats this place like her home. You will frequently see her watering the gardens or cleaning up common areas. If you're looking for a property with management that holds her tenants accountable for community rules, this would be your spot! However, where this building falls short is that it is an older building with thin walls, communal laundry, and a few very unpleasant tenants (who likely have lived here prior to the new property management) who think they are above the rules. This place is spacious and affordable with a FANTASTIC location right next to Greenlake. This is what sold me on this property. Overall, 90% of the tenants are mature college students, young alumni, or mature adult folks with the unavoidable 10% of undesirable tenants who are disrespectful; however, my perception is that the property management does what is within their power to correct the behavior as best they can. If you're looking for an affordable unit, check it out!"
