"RE: Mice Infestation within Apartment I am a resident in at Stonegate Apartments and I have been experiencing a mice infestation in my Unit since September 2022. I have been in communication with the prior Community Manager Astrid Black as well as the current Manager Payton Knight regarding mice issue. It has been a year and my children and I are dealing with pest. On September 11, 2022 in the afternoon my children and I entered the home and witnessed mice running across the floor into the kitchen area and there were trails of mice feces throughout the house. Also, the mice cause damage areas in my unit. We keep dealing with ongoing matters. The entire administration isn’t doing anything to rectify this problem; and The EXECUTIVE OPERATION MANAGER “Deanna Henshaw” is a JOKE!! She called herself giving me a $300 credit while at the same time RAISING my RENT with mice still present in my apartment. Instead of bringing out an exterminator; they rather put up ineffective mouse traps. This mice has completely destroyed my apartment. I don’t feel safe here with my children. Highly suggest do not move here and if you ALREADY reside here BE AWARE!!"
"I would give zero stars if possible. This review is based purely off of the application process. The two month application process in which the end I was still told we couldn't rent an apartment. My fiance and I were looking to rent our first apartment so we applied here in August and went on a walk through with Makenna. It is a beautiful property and were very excited. We made it very clear to Makenna we were first time renters and asked if that would be an issue. She said not at all - as long as we checked all the other boxes (Income, Credit scores etc.) Which we MORE than qualify for, we would not have a problem being accepted. We applied and later heard from Astrid that everything looked great but it would be a wait for an apartment to become available. That was fine - we weren't in a rush. After emailing to check in many times she finally told us an apartment was ready on September 10th (but not available until the end of the month) - they ran the background check and did the application process and as soon as we were able to look at the unit, if we decided we liked it, it was ours. Astrids words "If you like it, it's yours." We understood that as we had passed all the application screenings and were accepted. We started buying all the things for our first apartment. Mind you, this was well over a month after we started this process so by now figured we would be told if we didn't get approved. Astrid said October 2nd she was walking the unit and then would reach out to set up a date for us to veiw the unit. Once again, if we liked it, it was ours. Astrid told us this many times. October 2nd came and went with no word so I reached out and didn't hear back for a few days but, eventually got a response from Peyton. After a few back and forths she informed me that unit wasn't ready (and didn't tell me ny time frame of when it would be) but also, we didn't pass our application, we needed a cosigner. So, we found a cosigner who is retired, so she just had to have 6 months of the rent in her bank accounts. She checked all those boxes so we thought we had the apartment...again. We were going through with this process and then were informed that my mom doesn't count as retired because she isn't 67 (she is 65) so she could not be our cosigner. Even though she is legally retired. She retired in February of this year. So after two months we were back at square one. I went last night to a new apartment and we were accepted within hours. This two month process was mentally exhausting. They need to be up front with what is required and not keep changing things. It seems impossible to rent from them. I feel they just wanted our money. I am sure Astrid knew we didn't pass our application a month ago but we were strung along.... I hope others have better interactions but ours was terrible. I never write reviews - especially bad ones - but this was a truly miserable expierience. Terrible communication all around. I was truly in love with this complex though so, I really wished it would have worked out. We made more than enough combined and both have impeccable credit, were willing to pay more for a deposit etc but......after two months that was a fight I could no longer fight."
"We’ve lived here for over 2 years now & feel at home. This apartment complex is still the most affordable with all the amenities that are included in the area! I always can get ahold of the main office whether that’s a email, phone call or going in myself. If there’s a problem that needs to be fixed by maintenance I know that my work order will be handle in a reasonable manner! The trash is kept up with as well as the recycling. They even just put in a dog area where you can take your pet to play & has a station with poop bags & a trash too! Glad to call this place my home!"
"Do not give them your money. The apartment manager Astrid Black attempted to illegally enter our apartment while under the impression that no-one was inside, rent has gone up every four months for the last year, and there were multiple erroneous data entry errors that resulted in additional out of pocket expense for our apartment. The quality of service and the quality of the apartment and amenities are not worth $1800+."
"I moved in and took over Stonegate in mid of 2022, and have been nothing but pleased by how kind everyone is! The little details in our grounds work is noticed and appreciated by all of our lovely residents. It's an absolute treat to work in a place surrounded by the best of neighbors!"
