"I had my worst move out experience with Brackett Apartment. I lived there for 12 months and never missed a payment. A week after moving out, I received an email that I am owing them $130 for move out expenses (cleaning and painting) after deducting from my security deposit. The email was sent on December 4, 2023 and said I have to pay within 30 days. I tried paying via the resident portal (rentcafe) but was told I have to pay via money order and send it to their billing department. I mailed the money order before the 30 day just to find out I was placed on collections on December 19, 2023 ( 15 days after receiving the bill). My move out date was November 30, 2023. Lucky the debt collectors told me if I paid the amount immediately it won’t show on my records. I paid $132 to the debt collectors and a week later I received my money order back with a letter that the amount due was paid. The worst mistake I did was not taking pictures of the apartment before moving out because the apartment was clean with no stain or scratches on the walls."

"Brackett withheld all except $20 of my deposit due to mandatory cleaning fee and carpet cleaning fee. Apartment was cleaned and immaculate at my departure. Items noted during final inspection were all corrected. I was not informed of this requirement for cleaning upon commencement of lease. Use of the word "Deposit" is misleading when it is actually used for mandatory cleaning fees regardless of condition of apartment as a result of cleaning by renter. However, the staff at Brackett have been very professional, especially Sofia Guzman who quickly resolved an issue relating to my overpayments to Snohomish PUD."

"Brackett Apartments is a great place to live. Beautiful landscaping, forested setting, diverse community, nice apartments, and all in the lovely community of Edmonds, but adjacent to Shoreline and everything is close by. Quiet, safe, helpful staff — I am so glad to call Brackett Apartments home—oh and good amenities like pool and rec center. So a great place for families, seniors, singles, young couples—all ages and backgrounds—and animals welcome!!!"

"I lived in this apartment complex back in the early 90's. This apartment complex used to be called "Firdale Village". It was a great place to live for a 5-person family. The location is safe, and there are good schools everywhere for children. Plenty of paths to walk, and the green belt between Madrona & Edmonds elementary is great for kids to play in."
