The Lavonne Apartments

"Where do I begin. 1. HORRIBLE PARKING. If you don’t pay for a garage or a covered spot, good luck. I finally gave in and started renting a covered spot. However, someone else decided to park in my spot. This was on a Friday when no one was in the office. There are tow signs listed all over the parking lot. When I called, the tow company let me know that only the people in the office are allowed to have vehicles towed. So what’s the point of the signs posted everywhere? I was finally able to get ahold of someone in the office the following Monday. However, they let me know they have to first post a “48 hr notice” sticker on the car, allowing them time to move. I couldn’t park in my own covered spot for 5 days because of their poor processes. 2. MY CAR WAS STOLEN. Like I said, parking fills up very fast. One night I wound up having to park on a street along the apartment complex. The next morning when I went to move it, my car was gone. Stolen. 3. SOMEONE POOPED IN THE POOL. Self explanatory."

"Neighbor was found dead in his apartment & was there for months. They got us a hotel the first night because of the smell & Ozone machine which was great. Second night there was no communication from them after they said they would contact me to see what would be going on & I had to pay out of pocket for a hotel because the smell was still unbearable & the Ozone machine was giving us throat irritation. I was told I would be getting a reinforcement from them which they now decided that they wouldn’t. They said it’s not their fault this happened which is understandable to a certain point. Regardless their team said they would reimburse me for that & now they say they won’t. The person was found in Early June & barely decided to get the unit cleaned up in late July. So much bodily fluids still in there & had everyone else live in the complex with all that still there… so disgusting."

"It’s 115 outside. Legally the pool can be open but management chooses not to open it. If you want a pool. Apply somewhere else. On this record hot day my apartment is scorching hot. I also have a hole in my ceiling from a leak that’s never been fixed. I debated about this post. I don’t care anymore if they need to evict me they can. My ceiling is fixed. Thank you. Our maintenance man is very courteous and professional.since"

"Although the apartments themselves are well kept and nice. Do not trust the staff for one second. They do their absolute best to deceive you and take your money at every corner. Starting from your deposit to your money for each month. Nothing is explained clearly but instead they just point at the papers that you signed and leave you no choice. They charge you for unexplained things, such as unpaid rent/other when you clearly paid rent for every month. The gym/pool and other amenities are closed and no discount. I would take my money else where, unless you like being ripped off."

"Basically the apartment is decent. The walls are super thin so you'll hear whatever your neighbors are doing. They respond to noise complaints with "I'll talk to them" and nothing changes. Place had fleas and because it was the fault of the prior owners they refused to do anything but charge us for the tratement to animals that never had fleas until this place...Definitely not renewing..."
