Fern Ridge

"Had the absolute worst experience after having a great experience, I understand there was a change of ownership, but as a back story I applied I got approved. I paid a holding fee, and I specifically asked the that manager, if my upcoming raise would affect my application and was told no. I was informed of the sale and the transition was terrible. None of their phone numbers work. They’ve had three listed over the past week and they’ve changed the office hours without communication. The office manager Nichole told me over the phone that yes, I would be able to move in because I have been approved, and all I needed to do was come in and sign a banking verification. I was not in the best place, when she initially told me because I’m going to sign for thos, I’ve already been told I’m approved for and then I’m being informed that. Oh no now you’re not approved. On the verge of having a panic attack after literally being informed after being told I was approved by the previous management and her over the phone I would be moving in on the 15th. And she’s making comments in the back office to whomever is back there saying oh this is just how her weeks been while I’m crying in her front office on the 9th. After my initial approval and signing documentation to hold the apartment and providing a cashiers check for that and now today the 13th two days before my original scheduled move am being informed that I no longer have a place to move and she was utterly rude and cruel. I got the letters she recommended I gave her all the documentation and she rolled her eyes at me while there was someone else standing right there saying I don’t want to deal with your attitude today after saying she was going to call me back on the Thursday the 10th and she still has yet to call me back as of today the 13 I had to go into the office after all of their phone numbers were disabled , and when I went in, she still had no answer for me, because she still hadn’t run it said she had to call me back, but I was probably not approved. It is 2 PM on the 13th. My move-in day was supposed to be the 15th. As well as their holding my holding fee without knowing how they are going to return it to me and I will be looking into further action if they don’t return it. Today is the 30th and it was the first time I have heard from Nichole since the 13th and she handed me back my holding fee with this writing on it."

"All the kids in the neighborhood are enjoying the weather and each other! It's great to see how they are present for each other. Laughing, running, playing, and taking care of each other. "Moved in not to long ago. The apartment was very clean and updated when I moved it. Management has also been very responsive to everything I've asked of them. My only complaint so far is the laundry machines are a bit annoying. The app doesn't work, they do take coins and card. But I've been over charged with my card. The parking situation here is very wary as the parallel parking spots are very small like for 4 door cars only. They only have 1 dumpster area. The side wall is cracked in some spots, but I don't care about that much. The landscape is very clean and well maintained every Sunday. I've only gotten woken up once by loud music at 2am, but other than that neighbors are quiet."

"This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. I don't even know if it's as bad as it used to be. But it is not safe at all, we've had snipers and swat team here before. Multiple police investigations and so many unsafe nights. Please do not have this be your first choice in apartments. You will never feel safe. Needles are usually everywhere and it is so nasty. DO NOT. Live here."

"I have lived here 11+ years. It is a great apartment community to live at in Olympia WA. Buildings are warm, safe, and great for family's. The maintenance staff are wonderful, polite, and knowledgeable. Office staff are nice and easy to work with. I love the Fern Ridge Apartment complex. :-)"
