"I am very disappointed in the way you manage certain things. I received an email from Expedia explaining that my OneKeyCash was about to expire. I called customer service and spoke to an agent. After explaining my situation to the agent (cancer survivor) I was told that there were not activities on my account. I informed the agent that I haven't been able to use my onekeycash award due to my condition and I haven't been able to travel because of it. I asked the agent if there was a possibility that they could have extended it for a short period of time so I wouldn't lose it and the agent reply that they did not have that option. I just want you to remember your Vision/Mission statement, "Driven by the core belief that travel is a force for good, we help people experience the world in new ways and build lasting connections. We provide industry-leading technology solutions to fuel partner growth and success, while facilitating memorable experiences for travelers."
"I have used Expedia for years. I am 100% satisfied with their flights, hotels, and packages of the two. I am 0% happy with their activities. They typically subcontract to a provider that subcontracts to another provider and even a third time. Needless to say, by this point in the process, quality is suspect. I have even been “ghosted” where the tour provider doesn’t show up. Considering how little money is involved, Expedia would do better to eliminate this piece if the travel experience."
"Expedia flight bundles. Do not bundle your flights with your vacation. You're better off booking directly through the airlines, especially if you need to make any changes. We had a trip book to Mexico. And we bundled the flights with the vacation. The hotels we're refunded. When we couldn't make the trip, the flights could not be changed or altered. So it was a loss. This was a hard lesson learned since both tickets for 1st class do your homework."
"We learned the hard way that if we book a hotel through Expedia, and an employee at the hotel we use steals our credit card information, and we report it, our negative review of that criminal experience will not be permitted by Expedia on their website. It is incredible to me that we cannot warn other travelers of what happened, especially when Google Reviews shows that hotel has had similar incidents in the past. Clearly, there's a problem not being addressed. And since Expedia will not permit an honest review on their platform, the best I can do is lambast them here for this despicable behavior via Google Reviews. Don't use Expedia. They won't allow you to warn others of crimes committed against you through the hotels you book, but they will spam you daily to provide the review they won't allow you to post long after you've left!"
"I’ve used Expedia a few times in the past without problems, but this time (12/23) I had to cancel because of illness. All money was lost because I bought at the non-refundable rate. I saved $100 with the non-refundable rate but now, since I can’t go, Expedia says there’s nothing they can do, and I lost over $1,000. I’ve learned that It’s not worth booking through Expedia because even if you buy through Expedia at the refundable rate, you might as well book through the actual hotel or airline because the Expedia refundable rate is the same or higher and with less flexibility. I will no longer use Expedia. I recommend staying away from using them."
