Reviews
"Very interesting...first time there, worth a visit."
"Very interesting museum, which included a guided tour explaining the history of the Shakers, their religion, their culture, and how they influenced the nearby community. The museum also delves into some history of NE Ohio and some of the people involved with its development. Numerous artifacts are present from the past 200 years. The house itself and grounds are both beautiful, as are the neighborhood homes. And it is free to explore! I highly recommend taking several hours for a history lesson of the Shakers, Shakers Heights, and the Northeast Ohio region"
"Chuck Wood did a fabulous job as our guide into the history of the Shakers. I would definately recommend taking a couple of hours to learn about the one of the first groups of conscientious objectors."
"Staff is pretty knowledgeable. Best kept secret is that all their books in the gift shop are 5 dollars. The house has 2 floors so plenty of history."
"The ladies who work at the museum are lovely. Everyone from Shaker should visit."
