"Many weddings and ballroom dances of beautiful times!"
"Cleveland is the Forest City. Many buildings are most completely visible in the winter months when the surrounding deciduous trees shed their foliage. Lemko Hall (Literary Street & West 11th Street) was originally a tavern built in 1909-1910. In 1946, it became the center for the association serving US & Canadian immigrants from Lemkovina (Slavic area on the slopes of the Carpathian Mountains. At the time, Cleveland had the largest settlement of expats from the region that today is located along the border between Poland & Slovakia and western Ukraine. The building was used as a set for a wedding banquet in the Academy Award best picture in 1978, "The Deer Hunter"."
