"My son’s been here almost a year. After a terrible experience at a different daycare I found this one. It was not easy at first when he started. But after awhile my son absolutely loves it here. They treat him like their own and work amazing to help with not only his needs but each child that goes there! He loves to do yoga there and bring home all his art work! They’ve helped him so much not only there but at home too!"
"Second Home Childcare has been such a blessing and a comfort to our family. Our daughter has been going there for about a year and a half and we only have good things to say about Teresa and Bailey. They are truly amazing! Finding a safe place for your child to go while you are at work can be difficult. You want to know that your child is safe, cared for and loved. This is the place! From the moment our daughter started going to daycare here I knew she was in the right place. Teresa and Bailey are the most caring, genuine and wonderful caregivers we’ve known. Everyday when I leave for work I know my daughter is safe and cared for and most of all happy! She tells us often how much she loves Teresa and Bailey and that she misses them the second we walk out the door. We feel incredibly lucky to have found such an amazing daycare for our daughter. We will forever be grateful for the time our daughter spends there."
"My daughter has been going here for a little over a year now and I can't express enough how amazing Theresa and Bailey are. They give each child the perfect amount of love and patience. So many art projects, yoga and outdoor time. I was always skeptical about putting my child in the care of someone else but this was hands down the best choice we could ever make. My daughter begs to go back to "school" after the weekend. 10/10 recommend"
"My son has been attending here for close to two months and it has been the best experience ever for him. My son has had many difficulties in the past with rigidity and transitions/changes. I warned them that this may be a difficult area for him before he started. He still clung onto some of his rigid tendencies the first week or so attending, but by week two has always been so thrilled to go. Teresa and Bailey truly care for the children they take care of. They treat their childcare seriously and make so much effort to incorporate variety into the schedule. They are very personable and I trust them fully with my son. They have a schedule outlined for each day to give the kids and parents an idea of what to expect. They do so many various activities with the kids and it has brought out the absolute best in my son. At home and in all areas, I’ve seen so much more flexibility, openness to new things, and maturity. He has become so much more social and has truly blossomed. If you want your child to attend childcare somewhere that your child will thrive and blossom, this is the one place for them. I cannot say enough positive things about Teresa and Bailey at Second Home Childcare."
"I would NOT recommend this daycare. I enrolled my 3.5 year old daughter and advised Theresa that she had been at her previous daycare for 3 years, and doesn't do well with change, so we knew this would be a difficult transition for her. The first day I called on break and was told that Theresa had to put my daughter over her lap to hold her down to put sunscreen on, because she couldn't take the other kids outside if she didn't have it on. I provided spray on sunscreen, you cover her eyes and spray. I don't see why she felt in necessary to put my daughter over her legs and try to hold her down. Apparently there was issues when Theresa watched her, but when Bailey watched her there were no issues, it was a perfect day she said. Then the 2nd day, not even 2 hrs after I dropped her off, Theresa told me that she didn't think it was a good fit, and I should put my daughter back in her old daycare. All because my daughter didn't clean up her milk cup the 2nd day and didn't sing and dance with the other kids, she was just at the table watching. They told me they tried for an HOUR to get her to clean up, then moved on to singing and dancing with the other kids while she watched. Well after an HOUR of you being stern with her to clean up her milk cup in a new environment, of course she's not going to feel like singing and dancing. I left work, picked up my kiddo and switched her to her old daycare that day. I had told them that it would be a rough transition for my daughter, they were fully aware. If my daughter was hitting the kids and being aggressive, then I would understand. But my daughter didn't hit the other kids, wasn't being mean or aggressive towards the kids, she was just shy and uncomfortable in a new environment. They did not work with us to try and make it more comfortable. Most daycares are trained and advised that transitions can be difficult, and it usually takes 1-2 weeks for a child to feel comfortable. They gave it not even a full day and 2 hours. If they don't have the patience, then I definitely don't want my child there. My previous child care provider was appalled Theresa didn't give my daughter a chance to get comfortable, like they are TRAINED to do."
