"I did a lot of research for a doctor. I wanted someone that used the lense of health at every size. (Their whole clinic does not just my doctor). And I also needed someone that has eating disorder experience. And Dr. Hannes has training and knowledge with eating disorders. Which is why I selected her. I’ve now gone to see her a few different times. I also had an issue that was after hours and One Connection offers an after hours voicemail where the call is returned in 30 minutes. My call happened to be returned in 30 seconds. And lucky for me it happened to be my doctor that was the on call one that had night. So I was able to get help from her. She was able to prescribe something and I was able to get it the next morning. Yesterday I learned that the after hours voicemail can be used for mental health crisis too. And I thought that’s really awesome. I’d be more likely to call that in crisis than a crisis line. It took me a couple visits also to get to where I am with my relationship with her. The second visit for me in person was rough. However she responded in a positive way to my brutal honesty in how I felt. And I appreciated that she worked to repair the relationship versus not. I also picked this place because I wanted to try a natural path way versus “traditional” medicine. As I haven’t had great experiences with past doctors. Thus far I like natural medicine. It’s nice finding natural ways to help versus prescribing a medication. Bonus they do a form of massage therapy there!"
