"HIGHLY Recommend!!! --- Sorry long post! But a MUST READ! Having a background in early childhood makes it extremely hard to find the PERFECT school for my daughter. I wanted to ensure that she received the best care and education possible and the learning center she was at was not providing that. I searched and toured preschools for weeks. Then I found Pathways Academy, Ms. Mary welcomed me into her home, gave me the grand tour, and answer all of my questions (I made a list prior to the visit). When my daughter attended Pathways for preschool I was the ECEAP Teacher at Whittier Elementary. First month at Pathways, I received pictures of my daughter everyday !! Communication at pickup and drop off was unbelievable, Ms. Chelsea and Ms. Teresa "bravo!", I was always aware of her behavior, social and intellectual development. Ms. Mary always kept me informed about the State requirements and regulations they go through. Honestly this place is every Teacher-Moms dream! Did I mention the ratio sizes are small?!?!?! &&& Mr. Pat & Ms. Mary cook all of their meals. My daughter and I loved this school!! My daughter is the top students in her kindergarten class, I am telling you right now is because her preschool journey start at Pathways!! Unfortunately, we had to move out of state but if we didn't my daughter would have stayed"

"I have known Ms Mary for 11 years. Three of my grandchildren attended Pathways here in Tacoma. They are all better for the time spent there. It is an academy, they have a learning schedule, they get exercise, they learn social skills, manners, nutrition and so much more. The children and families receive love from Ms Mary and her staff. They discipline fairly and with the family. I pray that there are more childcare homes like Pathways. Ms Mary could have done anything with her education and degrees, she chose to help children who would not normally have access to the high level of learning she provides. She has always put the child and their family as the number 1 priority. She belongs to childcare professional organizations and stays involved with Washington State government to ensure she not only meets, but exceeds government standards. "Our family was able to access to this amazing care while experiencing transition during 2020 chaos. Their welcoming atmosphere, whole family, child centered approach and cleaning and safety measures were just a few things that brought feelings of joy to us as our toddler was able to experience social, emotional and educational supports each day. We received daily updates with photos of this activities, meals and lesson plans, I appreciated the resources and wrap around supports offered. Mrs. Mary values children and parents and is invested in creating and sustaining high quality childcare on city and state levels of advocacy and policy change. This is clearly a life passion for her, I appreciate her hiring high quality trust worthy staff, providing a listening compassionate ear and setting a standard of excellence in care in our city.
