Playful Learning

Playful Learning is a school located at 516 West 13th Street in The Dalles, Oregon, United States. We believe in creating a strong academic program that is supported by reciprocal relationships among people, ideas, and the world around us. Family participation is vital to our school community, as we value the exchange of ideas between families and teachers.

Our mission at Playful Learning is to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to grow and develop. We offer a range of programs for children starting at 2 years old, including a mixed preschool class and an enrichment program for school-age children. Our goal is to create a foundation for lifelong learning and success.

At Playful Learning, we believe in fostering an environment of open-ended exploration, curiosity, and growth for children. Our curriculum is inspired by child-focused exploration, creativity, and collaboration. We spend ample time outdoors every day, rain or shine, to encourage active learning.

Owner and lead teacher Eliza holds a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education and has been teaching children for the past 12 years. She values primary care and long-term relationships with children to understand their unique needs. Our school promotes independence, self-awareness, and academic readiness for Kindergarten.
