"We visited the Merchant Ball a few weeks ago, and it was well worth it. Clearly something very strange is going on here. In addition to the inexplicable rotation of the ball, when I used my iPhone to take a video of the monument, a strange blue dot of light showed itself to my camera, but not to me. This blue light bounced around between the ball and the monument base for about 10 seconds in my iPhone’s video camera. Very strange. I don’t have time to upload it to YouTube, but if anyone else would like to see it, I would be happy to show them. "I had heard tales of the merchant ball as a child and upon returning from an adventure and decided to make the quick detour to investigate for myself. I was unable to determine whether it is the spiritual forces in the area spinning the 5200+ pound monument stone or micro earthquakes or aliens or just some local Yahoo's but needless to say a very interesting place and I am glad I stopped to see it in person."
