Mooreland Mansion

"We had our wedding here in July 2021 and I cannot say enough good things about Mooreland. We used the gardens for our engagement pictures and our wedding photos, and they are absolutely stunning. From its beautiful antiquated atmosphere to Normandy catering’s quality of food, everything was so lovely. The only reason I am writing a review two years later is because we are expecting our first child in July. I was hoping to take a few maternity photos in the gardens as well. It seems Kathy is no longer in charge of things, and the new manager is not as kind, and would not allow us to use the gardens for that purpose. I was hoping to be sentimental and have our love story unfold in the same place over the years, but this new manager, Tawny, won’t allow that to happen. I’m certain Kathy would have been able to accommodate after I explained the importance of the gardens. Just be aware that if you decide to have your wedding here, you likely won’t be allowed to return and reminisce over the good times. Very unfortunate. Photos by Kayla Duffin Photography."

"Gorgeous venue for a wedding. The onsite catering left much to be desired. Drunk/ sick staff wrenching in the bathroom and knocking stuff over breaking things. The bride got hit in the face with flying glass. Spent $300 for one sheet pizza for a late night snack that was like sprinkled cheese and cardboard. I will recommend the smoore bar, but it was set up 4 rooms over from the dance floor. Hidden fees, unresponsive coordinators, oh and ice covered sidewalks with no attempt to salt or clear hazards. Maybe in the summer you get better attention from the staff but they def called it in for my event."

"When choosing the Mooreland Mansion to be our wedding ceremony and reception venue, I did not anticipate how truly beautiful and perfect our wedding day would be. With the help of the Event Coordinator, Michelle, Normandy Catering for the AMAZING food (everyone was raving about it - Brushetta Chicken, NY Steak, Veggie Cous Cous), the beautiful mansion and outdoor space, and the help of all our other vendors, it was a dream of a wedding. We have guests telling us how unique this space is from a traditional ballroom/banquet, which is exactly what I wanted. Having the dance floor on the back porch of the mansion created such a fun and different environment to dance and sing the night away, which looks over the gardens in the backyard. We had a guest count of approximately 115, and it was the perfect size for this venue. I would 100% recommend Mooreland Mansion to anyone. Attached photos by Black Dog Photo."

"Absolutely a beautiful place. We went to a wedding here and it was amazing. The food was delicious and the catering staff was amazing! Constantly checking in us and clearing plates. They were all making sure that we were aware of the different things going in such as the toasts and dances. The tables were all set up beautifully. Everything was perfectly in place. The staff was amazing and accommodating. My sin and I were able to take a self guided tour of the house and got to see some of the amazing history and artifacts of the place. My husband and I, as well as many other guests, toured the beautiful grounds. The only issue we had was, when we were leaving, we had a parking citation on our vehicle. My husband had actually parked, a little bit, on the yellow line. And we recived a citation for that. Other than that, we had a beautiful time here for the wedding."

"I had my wedding ceremony and reception at Mooreland this past weekend. Katie and Marie went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. I cannot say enough good things about how delicious the food is, how effective and courteous the staff is, and how beautiful the mansion is. For the money you spend, hosting any event at the Mooreland is an absolute steal."
