Reviews of Health Share of Oregon
"The more centralized and top down healthcare gets the worse the service and more dangerous the "care". There is an unsustainable perverse incentive system that has destroyed what was and based on what will be attracted, what will come as well. It would be wise for each person, especially parents, to put down the "programming" (so called entertainment) and pick up an open source research ai, or even just a medical terminology dictionary and read studies. Given the average time spent with a patient, by the doctor, is around 7 min. combined with the misdirection allopathic medicine has taken etc I am confident the some effort by any 130+ IQ and a zest for learning can gain more "subject matter expertise" over their own health than is possible by an average general practice doctor, especially if treating a visit to SPECIALIST as an opportunity for an expert 2nd opinion or as the consultant they should be (instead of the infallible dictator we abdicate our will to). Obviously I am opinionated on this subject and since Google asked......"
"Good communicators helping. No insurance place is perfect. I'm thankful for my insurance with no cost."
"Ride to care is an uncaring, irresponsible, group of people. They take on this huge responsibility and then fall incredibly short. And here's some inside information. The "new company" spent a month making improvements to their system and how things were ran. Even bringing it on of the companies for help. And at the last moment. Switched everything back to how things were. 1 month of training and pay. Of the tax-payers money. Used for no gain to the people. There needs to be a competing company. Or else things will never change. Why should they? They have no one to compete with. They can do whatever they want."
"My first call last week, the day I got my member packet and after waiting on hold over 40 mins, the rep was monotone, bored and came off as though she could care less about what I was asking her regarding my health and the changes to my providers. Her tone seemed to berate my doctors office because "I don't need a authorization for that and they SHOULD already know that. You're fine for 180 days anyways." and then a quick, "anything else?" as she tried to end the call ASAP, which I understand with hundreds of us calling, worried... but, Still sad. I would have welcomed a new member and tried to retain me for when I am working again and when their company isn't my only option. I remember my first call with Family Care and finally feeling cared for... It's sad. I lost my healthcare and got health coverage. We'll see how it goes and I'll update as needed, but the first impression is gone."
