"I love this lighthouse. I've been coming here since I was a kid. The sunsets here are breathtaking. The beach glass is always better here too. I love that somebody bought this lighthouse and renovated it for their summer home. We saw her hanging out with her dog and then I did some research to see if she rents it out. We'd love to stay here a night! If you search the lighthouse the article should come up and she takes you on a tour. She did great with this place!"
"It was a beautiful day to walk out to the lighthouse. Start at the buckeye trail and don't walk the beach since it is a protected area. There's a view of the lake the entire way. It was windy when we walked it and waves were splashing up against the breakers. The lighthouse is blocked off and you can't go in. You can however walk around it and go out on the breakers. The lighthouse is pretty and its nice to get up close."
"Less than spectacular or even slightly amazing. The long trek in sand is 24-50 min there. That's it, a light house with gates all around and servalence. O.k Sand trek back to the beach and hydrate. Hard pass, can't keep rocks or even washed up drift wood. Needs a real overhaul for being a point of interest other than the age."

"Built in 1925 the Fairport Harbor West Breakwater Light was built to replace the Grand River Lighthouse as a navigational aid and is currently being maintained by The U.S. Coast Guard. It is located at the mouth of the Grand River and is accessible from the Headlands Dunes State Nature Preserve. It is closed to the public bit we were able to hike out to the light for some spectacular views of the lighthouse, pier and Lake Erie."
