"Thomas Polk Park used to be a great little park with a beautiful huge fountain and a lot of Charlotte history etched into marble slabs in the smaller fountains, but then the City of Charlotte tore it all down without resident input in 2023. They will probably try and replace it with another tower and violate the conditions attached to the land that was deeded to the city. Shameful."

"Uptown Charlotte is beautiful. Trade and Tryon use to be called "Independence Square" in the olden golden days. There is a Dominican halal truck that sits at the corner that you must try. El Barrio. $6-7 a pop. I always get lame over rice or lamb salad spicy with extra white sauce. A guy always tells around Jesus Saves. He's a staple for the city now. Pretty cool environment and there are now City ambassadors for questions you have. And scooters are everywhere so don't fret if you get tired of walking."

"This area was beautiful, it was relaxing. I enjoyed walking down Tryon. I didn't even feel like I was Downtown. The architecture of the buildings and the art work was amazing."
