"This museum is a treasure of items that have been collected to showcase the history of Macon County. I am honored to have my book “Growing Up Mountain in the Shadow of Wayah Bald” for sale in this incredible museum."
"Excellent! So much to see. If you had relatives from that area many years ago, you may find history of them there."
"Great place to visit and learn about the town Lot of historical facts Knowledge about the history Very clean"
"There is A LOT of history inside this museum! There are 2 floors of very interesting stuff for you to walk around and look at. You move at your own pace. There is no required entry fee but they do have a sign posted that says any donations are welcome so we did drop money inside the box on our way out. This trip through history was worth the stop ☺️"
"Incredible comprehensive exhibits spanning the complete cultural history. Thoroughly enjoyed talking with the historian with his valuable insights on a wide variety of topics. There’s also a thoughtful, diverse plethora of books, including local historians available for sale. Lovely presentation of a quaint hand hewn cabin adjoining the museum. A Must See!!!"
