Lil' Farm Preschool

"It took a while for me to share this. I was initially excited for my 5 year old to attend summer camp activities here. He attended a few days of summer camp..and then after 1 particular day told me Ms Sheila had said to him that he wouldn't be allowed back. I was surprised because 1) I hadn't had any negative feed back or any feedback at all ,from Ms Sheila. When my husband picked him up, she had never said anything to him either. Although he said she appeared some-what annoyed. 2) He's 5. I would imagine if there is an issue of any kind that a teacher would talk with the parents instead of telling a child he "will not be back". Naturally, I called Ms Sheila to find out what my son was talking about..No answer...I texted her letting her know what he had said and asked if there was an issue or if he was perhaps miss-speaking? She then texted back saying yes, she did have that conversation with my 5 year old as he was rambunctious and not listening to directions while at camp, and is not allowed to return to camp for the summer. Note:My son was diagnosed with ADHD a few months later. I'd say if you have a child with any kind of special needs, I would NOT send them here. I would recommend not sending a child here period for the pure reason that issues are not brought to a parents attention to address, and a child is torn down instead of a teacher speaking to an adult/parent. Definitely a weird and an unprofessional way to go about things..and to do it over text instead of calling me or talking with my husband at pick up is a weird way to communicate that."

She is very structured but makes each day unique and exciting for the kids. My son has very much enjoyed his time in class and has learned a lot through the creative activities she provides. "Lil’ Farm Preschool is not only educational but a lot of fun! The owner has done a wonderful job creating an inviting and stimulating environment within her home. It’s a perfect stepping stone for children from learning solely at home to a classroom setting. I know each of her students will be better prepared for Kindergarten, not only educationally but socially as well. She makes learning fun and incorporates games and songs to make concepts stick. I especially appreciate the hands on learning provided by the outdoor garden. Lil Farmers learn math, science, and other academic lessons while getting the opportunity to be hands on learning practical skills. Best preschool around!"
