"I understand the use of tech, but at the expense of service or great accommodations it’s just tech. Take that away and it’s an average to below average hotel. You have to check yourself in! Where did service go? I don’t want to do all that when I’m paying to be somewhere. The room width is the length of the bed, so absolutely nowhere to exist in the room except to sleep and shower/change clothes. The iPad to operate the lights and blinds would freeze so it was cumbersome to operate. Sub-par hotel. I wouldn’t stay there again."
"Wow. This hotel was amazing!!! 10/10! We booked only the day of our stay as we had to leave our other hotel. It was not as described and horrible to stay in. We had to find something else close, cheap and that looked nice on the pictures. This hotel did not disappoint. From the start the whole experience was amazing. The staff were lovely and on hand to help with the check in process. The process itself was all done on computers and was very easy to use. We got to choose where our room was situated with what view and then it made our room key. The elevators were amazing, we stayed in the 6th floor and access is only by room key activation in the elevator. The room itself was small however very clean and very modern. Everything from lights, curtains, TV and climate is controlled by a very early to use Ipad. We did not care that the room was small as we would only be sleeping there and enjoying Seattle for the rest of the time. The shower was amazing and the room came with everything you need. The only thing missing would be a small coffee machine or kettle however the coffee at the bar down in the main lobby was amazing! The room did however have a small mini fridge which was a nice surprise. It also had a safe under the bed which was easy to use and could hold your valuables. I felt very safe at this hotel with access to the building after 10pm by key card only, access to the elevator by key card only and a dead lock on the room door once inside and with the safe also. Check out was a breeze and again used the computers in the lobby. Very quick and easy and staff were on hand should any issues have arisen. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely be back."
"I had the BEST experience here. Every staff member I interacted with was so kind and this hotel is seriously gorgeous. There’s a ton of space downstairs to work or eat or lounge. I didn’t try any of the food but they do have a menu you can order from. No room service but that’s okay. If you can pick a room facing John street you’ll get a beautiful skyline view which was one of my favorite aspects of this trip. The rooms are “small” but as a solo traveler it was perfect. It reminded me a lot of Tokyo pod hostels. The bed was comfy and the bathroom/shower was nice too. I loved controlling everything via an iPad - that tech is so cool. If you have the citizen app you can just use your phone for the controls which is what I mostly did. I think this is the perfect place for someone traveling by themselves as I can see how staying with another person in a room would feel cramped. Overall, I loved this experience so much that I will definitely come back and stay. I’m a Seattle local who just wanted a getaway for a night and this did not disappoint!"
"As of 2.25.24 I had flown back down from a weekend trip in another state and I originally had someone to help me look/book for a hotel last minute which was supposed to be Pioneer Square Best Western. That did not go as planned and I was no where in the reservations and I was very confused and exhausted. I ended up finding myself outside of the doors of citizenM asking for some directions and maybe even an outlet I could charge my dead phone in. If I had known at first that citizenM was a hotel and not a building I thought was a fancy/modern office I would’ve booked right then and there. Nonetheless here is a list of pros and cons for my stay at citizenM: Pros: - Staff were VERY helpful but also kind and understanding to my situation, including one of the security guards to figure out the situation and how to assist me. - Booking a room was super quick and easy. - The layout of the lobby is very nice, modern and almost futuristic. - There are kiosks where you can self assist, for checking in/out best option for those who are tech savvy. - Room feels cozy and the LED lighting that’s adjustable has any color you want. - Very convenient if traveling or needing to stay somewhere for just one night. Cons: - Rooms are kinda small, felt like a dorm. - Mattress and pillows are a little hard, had some trouble sleeping. - Everything in the room can really only be controlled with an iPad which may be difficult for those who aren’t good with technology. Overall this was a nice stay, but I enjoyed it for the most part and only really wish there were a few more details to be fixed/worked on. Thank you citizenM and staff!"
"I really enjoyed this hotel. It has a very cool vibe, the staff are laid back but also professional. They were all very nice. The room was really cool. there’s an iPad in the room to control the lights and climate and everything. You can change the light colors in the bathroom which illuminates the whole room. It was really awesome! I would definitely stay here again. My partner and I had a great time!"
