"Rooms were disgusting. Bed wasn't even made up. Lamp shades were knocked crooked. Boogers on the wall. It was horrible but with coupons, only paid $40+tax. Front desk night lady was playing games with us. But we were grateful for a roof and a bed, a shower too."
"This was one of the dirtiest hotels I've ever stayed in. The water was either scalding hot to the point you could not stand under it or immediately iceberg cold... It was impossible to use the shower. Garbage underneath the bed, the walls have holes in them and the artwork hanging up has other people's writings on them, in permanent marker. The first floor area right past the dust had such a musty smell it smells like mold. The Parking lot had so much garbage in it I was shocked. I would never recommend someone staying there."
"Rough exterior but the rooms are clean. Outdoor pool looks like it has been out of service for a long time. The staff are super friendly and the price is right compared to others nearby. Room furnishings old fashioned but the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast is not happening any more but they did have free coffee in the mornings. We worried that our car might be unsafe in the parking lot but had no issues over our 3 night stay, the staff seem very vigilant. Conveniently close to the Car Museum where our festival was held & also the Dome. Bus service to those spots was regular, easy and only $2. We also walked a number of times and it only took us 20 minutes."
"We travel 6hours to Seattle for a 6hour day of medical treatment 2x a year at UW, normally we stay on Aurora Ave in Seattle-was hoping for a different experience in Tacoma. Website shows a nice clean hotel and rooms-this place does NOT match its advertising. I hate paying for disrespectful treatment! There is no screen on more than half the windows-where is the building code? Room smells like someone is smoking-and it is a non smoking establishment. AC parts broken sitting on window sill with a very dirty filter. I dont expect a 5 star hotel for the price I paid but I certainly expect a clean place to sleep for the night. The black mold throughout this ENTIRE building is an extreme health hazard. -to the manager: if you feel you try to take care of your customers- then a 50% refund would be appreciated on room 316 because We did sleep in your room-wouldn’t take my shoes or clothes off because of the condition but I NEEDED sleep. Don’t be surprised if the health dept and building code dept show up."
"Very small room. Rooms not kept up. Our smoke detector was hanging from its wires off the wall, lampshades torn up and not even screwed on. 1 lamp didn’t work at all, pictures frame on the wall only had 3/4 of its frame. Complained about the smoke detector as soon as we checked in, but nothing was done and they didn’t offer us a different room. Homeless out in the streets and in the parking lot once the sun started to set. Came out a side door to go to our car (we were in town for a concert) and the area and bushes around the door smelled strongly of urine. Spend a little more and stay at a better hotel. Would not recommend unless you’re really in a bind. Should have just slept in our car, but needed somewhere to get ready in."
