"Awesome little RV park near St. Helens. Feels like your in the country, but only a few minutes away from a city. Only paid around $150 for a 5 night stay, which I think is an amazing deal. Down side is there's no black water hook up and only 4 grey water cisterns around the park. There is a pay-to-use dump nearby so it isn't a huge issue if you watch your tanks. Only $15 anyway. I ended up buying some extra drain hose to reach the closest grey water cistern so I didn't have to pack up the trailer to go dump. The landscapers and maintenance guys really take good care of the property, so its really pretty. Right on the marina so if you have a boat it's a great place to stay. There's only 23 spots so call and reserve ahead of time. Overall a really great experience staying here."
"Unclear instructions, socioeconomic bias and a stopped up sink left me feeling unwelcomed and ripped off. I checked into an unreserved/unoccupied spot here late at night when I needed to stop and rest at the beginning of my late-start road trip. This was the first time I stayed in the SUV-RV I have been working so hard to create for my vacation this spring. It was almost 3am when I arrived so naturally there was nobody around to check me in. I found instructions for registering in the brochure at the entrance kiosk and followed them by choosing my spot and paying the $30 fee at the PayStation. I placed the receipt for payment on my dash and went to bed. My peaceful rest was rudely interrupted the next morning by an irrate knock on my window. Marshall, the park ranger/manager was yelling at me that I can't sleep in my car. I opened my window in order for him to hear me and explained, "this is my RV". "This is not an RV, this is a car," came Marshall's insistent retort. I explained further the work I've done to create my little camping vehicle. And he explained the problems he's seen with people sleeping in cars. "Now, if this was a fancy Sprinter van, you'd be okay," he offered in an attempt to show he understands the trend of people converting vehicles to RVs. Bias exposed. (though my little Toyota crossover RAV4 SUV is in fairly nice shape, it is definitely an older model and more affordable than a Sprinter). I took a minute to educate him about socioeconomic discrimination inherent in the rules referenced by him Then I assured him that I was leaving by checkout time that day. I didn't feel welcome to use the shower facilities even though I had paid the hefty camping fee; because, Marshall kept watching me until I left the park."
"Very clean and secure bathrooms. Clean facilities overall. Very friendly service. I was coming in late Thursday night and needed a camping space last minute since the KOA I had planned to stay at was closed. I like the pay station option so one can pay after hours and receive a ticket with all the info they need on it instead of having to wait until the office is open. If you need additional assistance the customer representative Marshall was super helpful with a friendly cheerful attitude and provided me with additional instructions on how to find the pay station and he was also willing to answer any additional questions: all well after office hours. I would stay here again. It is also decent distance from Portland which is an added bonus as someone who travels from Florence to Portland for certain medical care."
"This park is an anglers jump point for guided tours and paddlers paradise. With canoe and kayak rentals from 'Next Adventure' if you're an enthusiast of angling or ornithology the setting is perfect. They now have an RV dump ($15) and have a sprinkler system for the new plants. Walking/ biking trails gives access to the river for a little bank fishing. Or, if you love paddling, 'Next Adventure' has what you need. A boat launch and fishing charters are also available for your NW angling adventures. Coin op showers in coded bathrooms for paying guests so you don't have to fill your black and grey tanks. There are already grey disposal areas around the park."
"Nice manager. Great they put in a dump site as this place does not have black tank hook ups. My only complaint is it costs 15 bucks to dump. Ridiculous amount of money. The road leans just enough the wrong way also. I was 62 feet long and blocked the entire entrance in order to dump. Nice park though"
