"Pacific Sunrise Inn & Suite July 8-10 2023 This hotel needs a lot of work. It’s under new management and they decided to open sooner than they should. Employees need a lot of training. The hospitality was very minimal as you could tell the employees at the front desk weren't trained well. Not knowing how to take a transaction. We were changed double for the stay. But told in the beginning the first charge didn’t go through but after checking the bank, it did. After confronting the front desk. I overheard several other people stating they also were overcharged, as well as the TV wouldn’t stay on. Our TV didn’t work as well as it would go back to input setting after a couple minutes of watching TV. It was advertised the pool was available when booked and when we got there, we were told it’s closed for construction. It seems as though the owners are not taking their business seriously. People come to the location to relax and have a good time. They shouldn’t have to worry about double charges, untrained employees, management not taking the issue seriously, not apologizing and following through on correcting the situation. The only positive thing I could say is it was clean."

"Just sharing my view. Stayed on July 3rd for a night with our young children. As another reviewer said, the pool was closed and there were a few minor issues but our stay was wonderful and the owners and staff were very helpful and responsive in addressing the issues that could be addressed. For the price of a room that accommodated my family of 5, that is walking distance to the beach, and for the most part as clean as one would expect any type of accommodations that was next to a beach would be. The issues: Our first room was missing a towel bar in the bathroom. Then we noticed that our TV would not turn on. So I went to get help and when we got back to the room to look at the TV, the keycard unlocked the door but became stuck in the unlocked position. So they gave us a new room. The 2nd room was only missing a Keurig coffee maker. They immediately got a Keurig for our room. There was a towel bar in the bathroom and the TV worked fine. The keycard and lock worked fine. There was also a mini fridge and microwave in our room. Also, both rooms, though no actual view of the ocean, had a view towards the ocean side so the fireworks could be seen over the tree line just fine. Overall, we had a pleasant and comfortable stay. Staff was very friendly and responsive, and the issues with the room, I am sure will be addressed as time goes on. We were fortunate to have a quiet night except for the fireworks, but that's what we were there for so a great time was had by my family. Sure they could have stayed closed for the 4th of July and done more renovations and dotted every i and crossed every t, but I'm glad and grateful that they were open to accepting travelers for the busy holiday period. We would not hesitate to stay again in the future."

"I get it when it’s your first day and things happen. I stay july3-5. When I arrived, pool was closed due to construction. The tv didn’t work as it kept going from one input to another and they said they didn’t know. You can hear everything in the night which makes it hard to sleep. Definitely will not stay here again. The other place would have been better. Missing bathroom fixtures, and places smells like mold. Would give 0 start rating if I could. Management didn’t care either."
