"I have had my kids enrolled for almost 6 years. I have overall had a great experience. The teachers tell me each day how my children's day have been. I get pictures and reports at the end of each day. When the kids have moved classrooms they have slowly transitioned them so they can get used to the new teachers and the new room before officially moving over. Everyone seems to work together. Plus, the cameras are amazing. I love that when I have time I am able to go and watch a live feed of my children's classrooms. I highly recommend Kids N Us."
"If you have a 12-month-old who drinks formula and eats Gerber, I strongly advise against enrolling your child at this facility. It has come to my attention that they have a "waddler room" where formula and Gerber are not provided as options. According to Nikita Gonzales, they transition children into the waddler room at 8 months, where they are expected to drink whole milk and consume table solids. It is essential to note that doctors do not recommend introducing whole milk before 12 months. When I raised this concern with Tanya (who was explaining the policy rules for the waddler room), my conversation was abruptly cut off by Colleen Kopps. Colleen Kopps even had the audacity to label me as defensive for simply addressing a legitimate concern as a parent. This incident raised significant red flags for any responsible parent. However, I decided to proceed with enrollment, intending to transition my child into solids and whole milk gradually. The following day, I called the Marysville location to clarify the policy rules for the waddler room. Unlike my experience with Colleen Kopps at the Mount Vernon branch, the staff at Marysville, particularly Kaylee, handled my concerns with utmost politeness and professionalism. Kaylee even suggested that I could obtain a doctor's note if I had concerns regarding my child's dietary needs or if my child experienced difficulties with solids, and work with my branch (Mount Vernon) to establish a suitable meal transition plan. Feeling reassured by the interaction with the Marysville location, I called the Mount Vernon branch again to inform them of my intention to start my child the following week and bring a doctor's note and see how we could arrange a meal plan for my daughter. However, instead of addressing my concerns, Colleen Kopps scolded me over the phone, stating that she heard about my call to the Marysville office and that she did not believe I was a good fit for their facility. Her tone was demeaning, and I promptly reminded her that such behavior was inappropriate, particularly for a daycare director. She then proceeded to abruptly hang up on me. Twenty minutes later, Nikita Gonzales called me in an attempt to defend the situation. However, her attempt to shift blame onto me for not asking for a tour and implying that as a parent, I should have known better was completely unacceptable. In this day and age, mom shaming is utterly outrageous. As a parent of two under two when searching for suitable daycare options, it can be overwhelming to call over 25 different centers searching for availability for both of my daughters."
"My sister worked here and delt with their nonsense for a couple years. While employed here my nephew was attending childcare. My sister finally had enough of the drama that was not being addressed appropriately as it should of been. This place is not what it seems. My sister terminated her employment and they decided to take revenge and kicked out my nephew simply for her quitting. I called and spoke to the director of this location, Colleen Kops. I attempted to address the situation and be able to see my nephew on the watch me grow/ tadpoles and Colleen hung up on me. It's not okay or professional to terminate a childscare simply because a person refuses to continue working in an unstable and shady work environment. This is why Kids n Us in Mount Vernon can not keep employees longer then a few months."
"Staff are friendly, place is super organized, great with communication, daily schedule is consistent. But wanted to give an extra shoutout to Ms Erica the Waddler teacher for going above and beyond with my son (and I'm sure all the other kiddos). She calls me to update me on certain things if needed which I appreciate very much. Also appreciate that she lets me know how my sons mood/attitude was and if he seemed to have a harder day etc. You can tell she truly has a heart for children and I feel safe knowing my son is under her care while I'm at work. You can tell she is very organized. My daughters teacher is Ms Audrey (not sure if that's how you spell it) is also great and I appreciate that she lets me know certain days where my daughter is acting up/ having an off day so I have the chance to speak with her at home. Most childcare centers don't communicate enough and the staff at Kids N Us does very well."
