"This place has been an absolute godsend for me and my cptsd. The clinic manager is very helpful and clear in communicating with me when I have any questions. The office is beautiful, and inviting. My therapist, is the perfect fit for me, I feel like I’m talking to a best friend. If I ever have any issues, whether it be a scheduling issue on my part, or billing questions, the manager is quick to help. I have no complaints about this clinic. Couldn’t be happier with my care. I highly recommend!!"
"These guys and their billing is a joke. Have paid before and after a session, made a payment arrangement to pay the day after a session one time and that was ok. My wife goes in for her appt one day, and has cash and her card, no one at counter to take any payment, just a sign that says " we are out of the office at the moment, sorry for any inconvience". She leaves and then they charge my card, when hers is on file also. So it overdrew my account. No help from them at all with the matter, just a big FU. When trying for a resoultion, they just kept saying "we charge before every session", and none of that could of happened. Therapist was great, be careful with your payment info with them"
"I guess I shouldn't expect so much from a therapist so green to the working field, but I worked with mine for over a year and never once felt I had a clear picture of what they were trying to do to help my situation or what was necessary for me to do to help my situation. It was like throwing food at a wall and seeing what sticks, and, when something did it was like "oh good keep trying that thing." I never walked away with a better understanding of my cognition nor the underlying mechanisms through which my disorders were able to manifest. I often felt unheard, that my desires for psychiatric evaluations were stupid, and that my therapist didn't take me serious. When I'd share insight about myself ("I know I have this behavioral problem caused by [insert cause here]") I'd often be met with a snarky sort of "yes, you definitely do that thing" as though somehow emphasizing and belittling this part of me that I'm being very vulnerable about is going to be helpful to me. I have no idea how you teach your staff to behave with clients, but I don't think it's working very well. More surface-level issues have been helped through therapy here, such as simply having someone to talk to, feeling validated in some things, and getting medication advice. But I fail to see how tangible progress can be made when your therapist isn't willing to work with you regarding you learning about your own neurology and physiology and how those systems interact. I guess if your mental issues aren't as debilitating as mine, this place is fine, but if you want real change and direction, I'm not sure I'd trust these therapists with your mental wellbeing. Three stars because, despite everything I've said, somehow this has been the best experience out of 3 that I've had with a therapist (maybe I'm the problem, but I doubt it---we all know how broken the mental health field is in this country)."
"I have been coming to simply thrive for 3 years now. At first things were okay, they had incredible therapists. Slowly all of the original therapists began to leave. Now I realize why. Although the original therapists were amazing, the business side to simply thrive is simply horrendous. I have never once had a positive experience with the front desk workers, the cancellation policies are constantly changing and you are never going to be alerted of that. I get bills that don't make sense seeing as my insurance FULLY covers my treatment. Both my mom and little sister experienced this at simply thrive as well, my mom ended up leaving when her original therapist did. My boyfriend called months ago to get an appointment and he never received a call back, mind you thats after I (a current client) reached out to them about this. If my psychiatrist wasn't so great I would have left a long time ago. I hope eventually they can get it together because they have good potential and have had some great therapists and psychiatrist over the years."
"My star is solely for the office space- nice, clean, lots of seating, and coffee and water available. When I first contacted them, they said the office manager was out of office and I'd hear from them the next week. A month later, she finally contacted me and i was able to start a month or two later, which I didn't mind because normally therapist wait times are long. I felt like my sessions at first were effective and I had a good relationship with my counselor, but at some point the relationship changed, she talked over me constantly, and I felt my issues were minimized. Because of this, I stopped attending my sessions every other week, and was only contacted 6 weeks after my first missed appointment to collect payment. For a mentally ill person, suddenly disappearing for 6 weeks could be a sign of crisis, and they should be aware of that. Additionally, I asked about getting in to see someone to prescribe medications, which they said was available at the office, followed up twice a month for seceral months at my appointments, and never heard a single thing about it. All in all, incredibly frustrating, I didn't feel cared about, and it is clear the money is more important than my well-being."
