"Some of us have serious issues that we struggle with on a daily basis. I found true relief at Vancouver Ketamine Infusions Center. The people that run it are the absolute best. Their knowledge and their care for each person that comes in for help supersedes any place you will ever find. Their prices are the best. They are always looking for ways to cut costs but still maintain a superior level of service. If you need help like I do, please give this place a chance. You will be extremely glad that you did."
"This was a great experience. I found out I was pregnant, total surprise, and had to stop, but now that baby is here, I am looking back to resuming treatment at some point. I have referred family and friends here. Karl and his team are welcoming and kind. I started infusions at one of the toughest seasons of my life-- and it gave me hope. Highly recommend"
"Karl and Marci have been great to work with. They are always very accommodating and friendly when it comes to scheduling and appointments. The office is comfortable and the infusions are always in a relaxing environment. I started going in for infusions in January and it truly has made a huge difference in my life. Suicidal thoughts have pretty much vanished and I’m a lot more relaxed. I’ve also noticed that I sleep a lot better and my heart rate has gone down which I think has to do with my anxiety being reduced. I completed the first 6 infusions and found that I needed another after about a month or so, the next time I needed one was a couple months out. Since that time I’ve been doing really well and finally feel like I’ve found something effective. If you’re struggling with anxiety and/or depression, I highly recommend giving this a try."
"I write this review not as someone receiving treatment, but the partner of someone receiving treatment. I have been consistently impressed by the level of care and support my partner has received by Karl and Zoe. Even my first interaction with Karl via email was warm and informative. When dealing with chronic pain and depression, we have met with many different doctors and have felt like a burden, been gaslit, and had frankly lost a lot of hope in any solution or care. Karl has the wonderful skill of treating clients both like a patient (he is very knowledgeable and everything he does is clean and precise) and family (he has genuinely cared about us as people). We trust him and his guidance and treatment, and I hope that everyone receives the level or care he offers. In a world where there seems to be a large recurring lack of trust in the medical world, doctors and providers would benefit from treating their patients the way Karl has treated us, and the medical system would be better for it. As far as the ketamine itself, it has been truly invaluable in my partner's healing journey. If it is something that you have been looking into, I encourage you try try it and see if it works for you."
"This review is long overdue as I have been seeing Karl Hare for a few months now and have been busy enjoying near-complete remission of my symptoms! Just a few months ago, I would never have imagined I'd be writing a review like this. Before I came to the clinic, I was not in good shape; I was barely able to eat or get out of bed due to the severity of depression I was experiencing. In the past 3 years, I had 2 psychiatric hospitalizations and had tried over 13 different antidepressant medications – full trials, gritting my teeth through the side effects – with very little relief whatsoever. Battling constant suicidal ideation, I decided to try ketamine and ECT as my last two treatment options. If they didn’t work, I had given myself permission to give up. I looked into a few clinics in the area. My friend called Vancouver Ketamine Infusions and a couple others to make an inquiry on my behalf, as I lacked the energy to even pick up my phone. Karl called her back within 30 minutes, even though it was 8 PM on a weekday. I spoke to Karl and he answered my questions thoroughly and with no rush. After he learned of how bad I was doing, he offered to move his schedule around so he could get me in as soon as possible. He told me, “Let me know when you want to come in, and I’ll make it happen. We want to get you feeling better”. Karl keeps the clinic very nice and clean. He only has two infusion rooms, and typically does one patient at a time. I appreciate the individualized care I receive here. There are heaters in each room, and the infusion chair is a recliner that is very comfortable. There are also nice potted plants and large windows (with blinds if you prefer darkness) that overlook pretty trees. It doesn’t feel like a sterile medical environment at all. They seem to understand that the setting is important for ketamine infusions. I was very nervous on the day of my first infusion, but Karl put me at ease with jokes, a smile, and stories of his dog. He allowed my friend to be in the room with me the whole time and offered us each a weighted or regular blanket, as well as an eye mask for me if I wanted one. They also gave me a button to press if I needed help or wanted to stop, which I never needed but still put my anxious mind at ease. We started with a low dose and I tolerated it well. I immediately felt a relief from my suicidal thoughts, like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders. It was an incredible breath of fresh air after a long two-year depressive episode. On my way out, he offered us snacks and water, which I thought that was a very kind touch. I continued to get the standard loading protocol of 6 infusions over 2 weeks, each time raising the dose until we found the optimal amount for me. I am very sensitive to medication and was surprised that I did not have any negative side effects from the infusions whatsoever. Every single one was a good, happy experience. By the 4th treatment, I felt like a new person. I was laughing again, playing with my dog, and dancing around the house. I was able to do a sizeable chunk of the daily tasks that seemed impossible just weeks prior. The depressive symptoms remitted for longer and longer periods of time after the 5th and 6th treatments. Now I just come in for boosters every few weeks, along with prescribed at-home troches in between, to maintain my wellness. I do have dips in mood when I go too long in between booster infusions, however it is nothing like the severity and depth of the depression that gripped me previously. I just know it is time to call Karl and get back on track. I am grateful that ketamine worked for me. I’m also happy that I ended up with Karl as my provider. He is very responsive and I am genuinely so excited to come into the clinic each time because they treat me with such kindness and I always have a good experience there. The cost of these frequent infusions is admittedly difficult to manage, but definitely worth every penny to me; it’s literally continuing to save my life each and every day. I cannot recommend this clinic highly enough."
