"This place is great. I love the staff. Always there whenever you need them to be. The only con os they want to prescribe to you for years and dont want to relieve you from the now suboxone habit you have which is a worse comedown than what you were originally addicted to."
"Update: After asking for a med adjustment, that was totally normal for my diagnosis, Amy proceeded to tell me she couldn’t prescribe that dosage for me and when I questioned why and presented her with a link to FDA pharmacy training materials from cms.gov on prescribing stimulants instead of answering with a valid answer she became very upset with me as if I somehow thought I was trying to pull a fast one over on her. I cried and told her I was only trying to get effective treatment and was actively looking for a prescriber that was more ADHD/ASD informed (she was so ill informed she suggested I add coffee or energy drinks instead of trying different meds/dosage because that’s what her mom did for her sister years ago!) so that I didn’t have to ask her for help because she’s obviously not comfortable prescribing the meds I don’t want but truly need and this was like keeping the right prescription glasses from a visually impaired person…at that she told me my behavior was “problematic” and she was no longer interested in working with me. She told me she’d send over one last month of the low dose of meds that were semi working and at that my relationship with “Psychiatry Group” came to a close. I’ve since gone out of pocket for treatment and, while it’s taxing on my budget, the treatment has been like night and day! I’m finally on the correct meds and dosages and I’m functioning better than I ever have, no thanks to Amy at Medtriq/Psychiatry Group… Might be good for addiction services, however my experience trying to get psychiatric treatment has been less than stellar. From prescriptions not being sent to pharmacy until days after first appointment and a couple of calls to being told to stay on meds that were having MAJOR side effects on me while adding on meds to treat those side effects instead of starting me on first line meds for ADHD. Literally have had to argue with the provider about medications to the point I’m terrified she’ll mark me “drug seeking” or something simply because I refuse to subject myself and those around me to the side effects of less than effective medications when there are others that effectively treat my issues without the horrible side effects! After my PCP refused to treat ADHD beyond prescribing Wellbutrin (which is understandable…it’s not his wheel house!) and told me to find a psychiatric provider because it wasn’t his specialty. I spent 6+ months trying to find a psychiatric prescriber, that was taking new patients and my insurance, to help and I really wanted to like them...the lady up front is a sweetheart and I’m totally cool with the telehealth concept but I feel like I’m having to fight WAY too hard with my provider to get the supports I need. She doesn’t want to do anything beyond med management and I’m cool with that, I have an awesome therapist already BUT I need someone who is able to prescribe and willing to not see ADHD as “not a big deal” ...definitely not feeling that here. I’m still going here but it’s to the point I’m trying to find ways to go out of pocket and find another provider because my appointments give me such anxiety!"
"This place is great. Yes, the doctors are on computers but they are just as attentive and caring as they would be in person. The staff is wonderful, especially the receptionist. Makes you feel right at home. I am truly grateful to have found this place."
"This place has always been there, open arms whenever I needed to come back. Yes doctors are on computers, if that's an issue dont go. Definitely doesnt discredit them, many places have virtual doctors. They're saving lives and helping me and many of my friends live productive lives again. I would be dead if I didnt have Medtriq. The closest clinic is atleast an hour away, and this ones only 15 mins. Very willing to work with your schedule and payment options. Def recommend to any addict struggling."
"Avoid this place if you can. When I called to make the appointment for my husband they didn’t tell me he’d be talking to a doctor on a computer. The doctor prescribed him something and then never sent it to the pharmacy."
