"Always love coming to this spot, ideal for sunsets. The views are spectacular and the beach area almost feels like you're in nature, miles away from urban sprawl. I particularly like that the beach has a seasonal off leash area, so in the rest of the park people are very attentive to the leash-law."
"Three different elevations to view the puget sound! Beautiful views of the water. Restrooms located on the property. Lots of parking at the lower lot but 3 total parking areas. Beaches are rocky but awesome"
"This is a great place close to Seattle that is beautiful and generally uncrowded. There are three parking lots in this sloped landscape. The top one is next to a set of stairs that goes from top to bottom and has several exercise points along the way. The middle lot is on the south side of the road and has an adjacent gazebo and event area. This can be rented for parties through the parks department. The large lot at the bottom has restrooms and another event area just above it with playground. This one is ideal for children’s birthday parties. The walk down to the beach goes over the train tracks via a bridge. The trains come by on a regular basis so kids can enjoy the trains. At the beach there are more restrooms and another event area with a fire pit. The beach is a typical Sound beach with a lot of shingle (smooth rocks) with sandy beach at low tide. There are a lot of driftwood logs on the beach that afford some decent seating. People sometimes use the logs to create structures that kids play in and on. I would recommend adult supervision for this as some of the structures may be unstable. Overall a great place for kids and their families. From November to March the beach is an off leash dog beach."
"Beautiful place to visit any time of year. Pretty view of the Olympics on a clear day. If you are not aware of how the beach was formed, start at the top of the park and read the information. The train running under the walking bridge is a bit much for the little children and the pets. You can see from both directions when they are coming and plan your crossing accordingly. The rules of dogs being on leash is posted clearly, please follow the rules. A park employee had to close the upper men's bathroom due to maintenance from vandalism. Please don't allow people to vandalize a beautiful recreational site. What a shame. It was a gorgeous and warm Wednesday to go. Happy almost summer!"
