"I had to go in for surgery and had amazing nurses and doctors. Mia was very amazing and talked me through the whole process to make sure my anxiety was alleviated. Nurse Barbra was very friendly and helped me navigate my way through the hospital to my room and getting changed into my gown. Overall the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The surgery went well. Dr Tan was very polite and didn't make me uncomfortable or feel scared. Thank you for a positive experience. I was extremely nervous going into the hospital and everyone went above and beyond to make sure that I felt safe and calm and taken care of. The nurse I had while in recovery before I went back to my room was really cool as well, she was upbeat and comforting and made sure when I started feeling weird and in pain to help alleviate it."
"This hospital is highly disappointing because, on each occasion we have visited for emergency medical assistance, the waiting time has been excessively long. Most recently, we were not provided with a proper room or accommodation, but instead placed in a corner with only two chairs near the exit area. It is improbable for a doctor to conduct a thorough medical examination in such cramped quarters, measuring only 3x6, let alone uphold any privacy laws. We used to hold a positive opinion of Providence Hospital and its caliber of physicians, but unfortunately, our sentiment has significantly diminished. As a result, we have decided to explore alternative options for emergency healthcare, as the decline in both attentiveness and empathy exhibited by the medical staff is disheartening."
"Milwaukie Providence is such a great hospital. My daughter recently had surgery there by an amazing Dr for her ankle. The RNs were so kind and even mailed my daughter a get well card. Everyone was wonderful. Thank you guys!! My brothers also been there recently a couple times and everyone was truly compassionate. Keep it up guys!!"
"I was told to go to the ER today by my doctors office. I was told do not drive call an ambulance or have someone bring you but you need to go asap! I made it to the ER what a joke!! Sitting there and waisting time as they called everyone who came in behind me!! Now excuse me if it were an emergency I could understand but everyone!! Everyone wasn’t an emergency!!! Over two hours!! I finally go ask how long the wait was going to be? I was told at least two more hours! I told them that I was leaving. I got to Providence off of Glissan and had to wait because Milwaukie still had me in the system. They had to call twice and they were rude about it. Once I was finally in the system I went straight back! The doctor was amazing as were the nurses! Milwaukie shame on you! I told you when I left you didn’t care!!"
"Normally, it would be five stars, but tonight’s experience, put a really bad taste in my mouth. My son had hurt his ankle, and we took him to the emergency room. The receptionist were nice, and the young lady who did the x-ray was nice. However, the male nurse that evening was rude and very standoff with me, and offered no assistance with helping with my son’s wheelchair. We were moved to a room in the back, which was the size of a closet. It had no phone, no way to Connors, not even a TV. No beds, just two chairs and literally a closet . We barely fit into the tiny wannabe room. 30 minutes went by, and I asked the nurse to either please move us to another room, or to please have the doctor come talk to us about my son’s ankle. We waited another 30 minutes, and got nobody checking in on us. 45 minutes later, we decided to leave. On the way out, the nurse was rude, said, where are you going and slow down. Nobody even cared about what was going on as far as us. Plus, we heard a doctor being disrespectful to another patient who was having breathing problems. Tell in the patient that call according to your chart you’re a smoker, she goes, I quit, well, that’s why you still have problems, cause you smoke, and continue to argue with her. I’m not sure what happened that night, I don’t know if the staff doesn’t care anymore, or what. But this was the first worst experience I’ve ever had. It makes me question if I’ll ever return back to the hospital for anything. I filed a complaint, so, depending on what happens after the complaint, is, if I will ever return it at hospital again. The nurses that evening were very unprofessional, they were busy chatting away, talking about their lives, and didn’t even care. Truly sad, because it used to be a good hospital."
