"Nice chill area to swim or sun bathe with close proximity to good food. Water is nice and not too cold during summer. And you can swim pretty far out and it's not too deep. When it's windy, you can also see tons of people kite surfing. And the playgrounds nearby are quaint and have tons of kids"

"Absolutely stunning place to come on summer evenings. A lot of people do kite surfing and kayaking and just watching them itself is a lot of fun. Highly recommend kayaking, if nothing else. Beautiful Breeze and great picnic area to enjoy a lazy day."

"Stop!!! You won't be sorry! It's so entertaining to watch! I saw the abundance of kites from the freeway and was shocked! I'm not from the area and have never seen so many beautiful kites in my life, especially at 6 PM on a Tuesday! This many people were out still enjoying the water on a 102 degree day. Next time I'm around I'd love to try kite boarding or at least spend some time at the beach and paddleboard in the bay."

"Kiteboarders can launch from the grassy park on off season months, but in the heart of summer launching has to take place out on the sandbar due to the large number of kiters. However you can pump up your kite and lay out your lines on the grass… and when done you can leave your kite on the grass to dry."
