"This is a beautiful park with a decent baseball/kickball field. There are swings and a playground for the little ones. There is also road parking and benches available for sitting. If the field were better kept, it would have been a 5 star rating. Otherwise, this is a solid park and I'll be back for more playing!"
"Love this park since they redid the grass and field. Awesome jungle gym area for the kids. Plenty of room for them to run around. They've also got a basketball court which is a half court. Plenty of parking around the park. And is your into music they hey a huge xylaphone you can play. Haven't seen many parks with that feature. During dry seasons soccer baseball and softball are played on the field. And on a clear day you can see a lil bit of the narrows bridge from the parking lot."
"Have lived across the street for 22 years... Optimist is the perfect park for people that want a little peace and quiet with plenty of space to enjoy recreational activities. Tucked in a nice little community with huge grass field, half court basketball hoop, BBQ/picnic area, and wood chipped kids play area with swings... Extremely dog friendly!"
"They keep it clean enough, but #1 no bathrooms anywhere close by and 2 they put in new soil and grass on the field, but still have it gated off! It's now been about 3 months since the grass has come in nice and green and no one can enjoy it... Again, the playground and surrounding area is clean, but it would sure be nice to play soccer or baseball on the grass like we have in years past! I live about 10 minutes from the park so I've been there dozens of times over the past 15 years. It used to have bathrooms but they got rid of them about 3 years ago, for budget reasons I assume.... Side-note: this park is in a really good neighborhood, so there probably won't be any creeps lurking in the shadows."
