"Drive thru pharmacy very fast and professional"
"The staff seems to be set up for failure. They obviously have far more customers than they can handle and their training lags the technology. Every time I go there's a line so the staff works constantly - like a factory assembly line. We must be kind to overworked employees because I'm sure they get many frustrated, rude customers. It's a stressful work environment, employee turnover must be high. Walgreens has a pharmacy app and a vaccination website, both easy to navigate. But the pharmacy staff seems to have minimal training on how to use the incoming data. For instance, the vaccination site allows patients to complete forms online prior to their visit. Wonderful! But the staff can't access them so one has to repeat the entire process, manually filling out the forms, wasting everyone's time. It appears that the staff only uses the system for scheduling vaccinations. The actual administration of the vaccines by staffers is excellent. They just don't have the time or resources to learn systems that could eventually reduce their excessive workload. The Walgreens pharmacy app is fine - but again there's little evidence that the staff sufficiently comprehends the system. My routine prescription was inexplicably cancelled and the staff couldn't explain why. After an hour phone call with my insurance provider, we figured out that the overwhelmed Walgreens pharmacies can't investigate problems. So they cancel orders without notifying patients. We discovered that each overworked store operates in isolation. They refer to the online pharmacy as an entirely different "distribution system", as if the meds come from Mars. Customers wouldn't know that unless they have an hour to spare with (someone competent at) their insurance company. I can pay for prescriptions using the app, again speeding up the process, but often the staff seems bewildered when I mention it's prepaid. Another Martian transaction! Not all Walgreens stores are overwhelmed, but this one obviously suffers from long-term management neglect. It must be a fantastically profitable store so the company surely has the resources to address issues. Meanwhile do yourself, and especially the workers, a favor - go elsewhere for prescriptions."
"Gave them 2 hrs to prepare my prescription, and when I got to the window I waited about 30 min. They finally came to see what I needed and my prescription was still not ready. Super slow."
"If your getting pain meds make them count it right infront of you. Didn't notice the first time or even think about it second refill went to go put it in a pill case and realized they shorted me 5 percocet had to call them and let them know. Said they would get the manager and review the tapes. 5 percocet that I'm sure there are tons of red yep to get through and was even circled on the quantity to ensure a double count. Called me about 45 minutes later saying they found the 5 missing pills and I could come grab it when I'm ready. Sketchy.."
"I just tried to go to the pharmacy drive thru at 8:55, pharmacy was listed as closing at 9, but the woman working said she was already closed. She argued with me about time and was willing to help only if I wanted to drop off a prescription, not fill it. If it closes a few minutes before 9 it would be good if that information was listed online and on signs outside store."
