"Terrible experience. If I could give zero stars I would. Was told by artist he did cover ups. Turns out he had no idea what he was doing (At one point he tried to cover up black tattoo with white ink. I had to tell him that wouldn’t work.) Now I’m left with a piece of garbage on my arm. After ignoring my calls and messages for 4 weeks he said he “didn’t know any one who could fix it, sorry.” I was in shock. Why a tattoo artist would do any of this I don’t know-take on a cover up with no experience, ignore a client, leave them with unfinished work with no help finding another artist. I advertise this trash on my arm as a reason NOT to go to Black Dolphin. Phil may very well be a decent tattoo artist. But the fact that he was okay with treating a client the way he treated me says a lot-not only about an artist and a business owner but as a person as well. I’m embarrassed, for the both of them. So disappointing."

"All of my work has been done by Phil besides for a couple of words i previously had done. His private studio is a very clean tattoo shop, nice atmosphere, and his partner Audrey is very friendly. My boyfriend and I used to make the commute to see Phil for about a few years, but my boyfriend received a promotion so it’s nice that we live so close and Phil’s able to squeeze me into his schedule whenever I feel spontaneous for some more ink!!! Phil is such a creative individual who loves to get to know his clients and provides such a comfortable atmosphere.
