"The Shell station out here is one of our sole options for gasoline and other quick stop needs as far as "in town" goes. I prefer the Shell station out here on key peninsula highway 10 to 1 because of the friendly service and familiarity. Everything you might need on the fly is available at a fairly reasonable price. The only thing I would disagree with is the markup on animal food as far as things I have gotten from the shell. That by far is the worst price of ever seen for a bag of cat food $20 for 6 lb bag. Understanding it's a convenience store in a fairly remote area. I understand price markups however that seems a bit ridiculous."

"The new hours and the habit they have of closing around 15 minutes before the posted closing time are disappointing, at best. There's nothing worse than rushing to the gas station after work, or anything, really, and barely making it on time only to find the doors locked at the only place that should have been open to get gas or food or other necessities and finding yourself stranded or in any of the way too many possible predicaments that are caused by this on a nightly basis. I understand why it happens and the employees are people with needs, too, but it doesn't fix the problems it causes when you have no way to get there earlier. When this was a 24 hour business it was an oasis in the dark, sometimes super creepy (not to me, I'm from here) back woods area of the Key Peninsula."
