McCrorie Carpet One

"The subcontractor set up to install out LVP floor was stellar. But that’s another review. The selection at McCrorie was good, the prices were a bit high, but that was not the problem. Our installation estimate was for lease than 900 square feet. We expected a 10% overage for waste. So, after the job was done and the waste removed by the installer, why do I have 126 square feet of material left over? That is 15% left over after the waste that was removed. And why won’t they take it back, even with a restocking fee? And why oh why does the salesman tell me this policy is a result of, wait for it…Covid!?"

"We are still waiting for blinds we purchased from them! They told us they’d arrive later than planned, because they were crafted in China, then said that they were actually made in Tacoma, WA. We were given delivery dates, but they kept changing them. Then they claimed they couldn’t find our house - to deliver them - though they had had no trouble finding us before, when they came to measure the windows for our purchase. They finally showed up over 3 hours late - carried in all the new blinds to install them - only to discover they were not the correct ones we ordered! Very frustrating. We like to work with local vendors, but McCrorie Carpet One has not been a good experience. We’re waiting to see if they will make right on our $6k purchase. So disappointing."

"Normally we review when we purchase a good product, receive service that is above and beyond our expectations or on that rare occasion where something goes wrong. This time it was all of the above and we are still throughly happy to have been working with McCrorie, Ben and his demo & installation crews because of HOW it was handled. Business have issues, suppliers, employees and subcontractors are all an extension of the business you are dealing with and yet the business have very little control over these relationships. As a business owner - I get this and try to work through issues with this understanding. Our experience with McCrorie was 99% fantastic... the only issue we had was a time extension on the install which Ben called in an additional installation crew to make right. Product was quality and reasonably priced & Ben is very familiar with his products and was able to get us exactly what we wanted at the price point that sealed the deal. His removal crew was timely and worked effectively so the installation went smoothly. The installation crew was detailed oriented, fast and professional. In the end we have a quality product with a professional install and what more could you ask for? Ben, he was FUN to deal with! All in all - a 5 star experience."

"The Port Hadlock store has a huge selection of flooring materials. We picked carpet for installation in our den and to be loose laid in a nearby large closet. Our salesperson, Dan McSherry, came out to measure and to advise us on how they would lay the carpet to ensure we only had to buy the minimum needed. Once the carpet arrived, it was installed very nicely by and efficient and tidy installer. All-in-all, a good experience. We would certainly buy from Dan and McCrorie again."
