"We are building a garage/Ag building at our property on Dog River Road, Parkdale. We had to fell a number of large doug-firs and yellow pines to prep the site and wanted to use the lumber in the new building. Chris came and collected the logs, milled them into custom sizes and stored them for us over this long snowy winter. Can't wait to see the milled lumber transformed into our new building when construction season picks up again. Chris was the best guy to work with and expertly navigated us through what turned out to be quite a complicated process of felling, transporting, milling and drying the wood. "We have had two positive experiences with The Dee Mill. At two points in time trees were taken out of our neighborhood, Dee Mill coordinated its team to transport the heavy sections, ranging from six to twelve foot long, from where they fell to the historical mill site. Our English Walnut and Douglas Fir trees were inherently different, had different desired outcomes; Chris worked with us to maximize the log sections into our preferred dimensions. They were able to store the milled lumber for a few months until we had a good place to stack them at our home. Instead of firewood, as they were destined to be, we were able to create usable lumber which will be a special part of our home for many years. We will certainly work with The Dee Mill again when we have another opportunity."
