"The Salon at the Junction is the best! Ashley is amazing at what she does!! Very professional, easy to talk to, and does a great job! I have very fine and thin hair and she always knows exactly what cut and color would look best with my hair type but also listens to what you want. Not to mention the salon itself is super cute and very clean. Highly recommend!"
"went in for a bleach and tone. Ashley was nice, and the location is great, however I wasn’t happy with the service. In the consultation I asked to be toned with something neutral- not too silver or gray. When I left what I could see was a bit more silvery/gray than I’d like and I stated so but suggested next time we could troubleshoot the issue. I used to do hair and I understand that blonding isn’t always one size fits all and getting the right tone can be tricky so I didn’t mind it being a bit silvery because toners wash out anyways. So I left a little bummed but thought it would wash out and I could re-tone with what I usually like. However, after I’d left I realized my roots were not lifted as light as they should have been and I have a band of hot roots, which is something that does not fade and I will have to spend more time fixing next time I bleach and tone my hair. Or if I were to go somewhere else they’d charge me for a color correction because bands aren’t easy to deal with in platinum hair. Ashley was friendly and the salon was cute, but I definitely shouldn’t have left with hot roots. Or at least she could have told me “your roots didn’t get as light as the ends of your hair here’s what we can do; _____ “ with a solution instead of trying to send me out the door saying “oh it’ll look different when you leave and have natural lighting outside” (I get it that blonde tones look different under different light but hot roots aren’t something that go away with different lighting) Anyways, I did end up trying to fix it myself at home and had to lighten it multiple times to lift the hot roots and over-toned ends out. I typically don’t like to leave bad reviews but I am bummed about this experience."
"I have been going to Brooke for 12 years because she is hands down the best colorist and stylist I have found. She is kind and professional and is very good at listening to what my needs are. She is also very upfront and honest about what will or won't work when it comes to color. I will always recommend her and will never go to anyone else! Do yourself a favor and get your hair done by her!"
"5 stars for convenience and customer service. It’s a great location if you live in the junction and the people are very kind and it was easy to make an appointment. Some constructive feedback - Taking off one star because I wish they had a photo gallery on their website with each stylists work and what they specialize in so if you decide to come here please ask which stylist specializes in what you want Taking off another star because my balayage turned orange, uneven and patchy and not very flattering to my skin tone. I understand that happens with dark hair but when I got my hair color corrected at the other salon they seemed to know how to get the color I want right away compared to the experience I had here. The stylist - Brooke was so kind and nice enough to give me a call and offer to color correct it but I ended up getting it color corrected at a salon that had a photo gallery on their website that showcases more experience with coloring and working with Asian hair and Asian clients. My new hair is the photo on the right in my picture collage! I really wanted to go back to them for a color correction but at that point I just felt more comfortable and at home at an Asian salon - they seemed to understand my hair color needs a bit better and I felt a little more reassured that I would be getting what I wanted - just my opinion and personal preference Overall I think my experience was just a one off. I would definitely communicate better with the stylists and research what each stylist specializes in before booking to make sure you get what you’re looking for - Brooke does great haircuts! Moving forward, I wish the salon had a photo gallery on the website with their work and show work that displays they’ve worked with people of different backgrounds, hair colors and hair textures. Personally I don’t think I will be coming back to this salon but thanks to everyone there for being inviting and doing your best to accommodate me!"
