Reviews of Crossroads Trading
"Came here to sell some clothes a few times. Everytime I came I noticed it took them under five minutes to go through my bags and end up taking one or two items. The rest had not been gone through AT ALL. Seems it's the same lady EVERY TIME! Other times I came by and it was someone different, my bags had been thoroughly gone through and a fair amount of items selected. It's always that one lady that seem to reject only MY items for some reason. FYI, I don't bring trash. I bring Carhartts, Pendleton, The Northface etc. as i am constantly refreshing my closet. She does seem to entertain other sellers of the same race. Terrible experience! Buffalo Exchange is right next door. Trust me, go there!"
"This is one of my favorite consignment shops ever! The prices are actually decent compared to other shops in the area! I found a pair of killer boots here that were $23 when earlier that day I saw the same pair for $80! Good prices, nice employees. An overall great place to shop!"
"Has hidden fees that aren't disclosed until they are asking you to pay. As a result the stated cost on the item is less than you'll actually pay. They justify it by saying it's so they can pay their employees. Yet that's a normal cost of doing business. If they choose to do this it should be clearly stated before you waste your time shopping."
"I went here to sell some clothes and while I was looking around waiting I discovered they had absolutely no size 16 or 18 pants/jeans which is my size, and very limited x-large sizes for other clothing. I also noticed a few of the things I would have liked it but were stained or worn but then they were still charging $20. Some of the stains were small enough if they marked down to $10 I might have considered it. It was no surprise they didn’t take my size 16 and 18 jeans which were hardly worn and not stained. I asked them about it and they said it was due to the style and not having people come in and buy that size much…but if you have nothing in that size then that’s why no one try at size comes in?? The one positive thing was I did feel they gave me a good price for the two skirts which were a smaller size of course, and a purse."
"(My review reflects my experience selling clothes here) This was my first time selling clothes to Crossroads on Hawthorne and it was very easy! I believe the associate who helped me was named Veronika (not sure if the spelling is correct, but she was wearing blue/purple mascara and had pretty nails). She greeted me as I walked in and was so sweet right off the bat as I explained that it was my first time selling to them. Veronika walked me thru each and every step of the selling process and I really appreciated her patience and kindness. I wasn't sure how busy they would be on a Saturday, but I only had 1 bag of clothes (7-10 items) and there were 2 people ahead of me when I checked in, so I was in and out in about 30 min! Overall, my experience with selling was really positive and I would definitely do it again. For reference, all of the items I brought in were "name brand" (Adidas, Gap, Madewell, Brandy Melville) and they took everything except one item (which was Forever 21). I'm assuming that can impact the amount of money you can get back, so maybe keep that in mind."
