"I have a pair of doc work boots that are older than I am and were falling apart until Mr Jack patched, stitched, and glued them back together. He even polished and water proofed them, they're in better shape now than they were when I got them :)"
"Paid $50(overpriced) to have the soles of my boots repaired. Afterwards, I wore them twice and they split apart again. When I brought them back to fix their work, they denied ever repairing them. It’s a good thing I save my receipts."
"I went in and requested an unrealistic turnaround time (2 hours) which Jack understandably couldn’t agree to. However, when I asked him, he gave me a list of materials so I could do it myself, which was very helpful"
"I dropped my hiking boots in to have some stitching done on them, and the staff was polite and professional. The price was reasonable and they gave me a time that I could come back and pick them up and they were good to their word. A great downtown business, I’ll be sure and bring in the next pair of shoes I need repaired. Thank you."
"A good value? No. Easy to communicate with? No. Open on Saturday? Yes. Quality work? No. I had my 9 yr old son's boot that broke the heal. I was able to epoxy it back on without issue and it is probably stinger than new. When I did it I had to remove the 5 nails that went through the heal to the inside of the boot (then folded over binding the heal to the midsole). I tried to explain this to Jack who couldn't understand me. I asked him to put in some long nails just like before. He said he only had short nails. Which he put in. Then he overdrove 4 of the 5 nails so that the rubber heal is now not being held on by the head of the new nail (defeating the purpose of the nail). He handed me the boot after 1 minute and 38 seconds of work. He charged me 8 dollars. I expected to pay something but for what he did and the poor quality for someone who has been in the business so long it was too much. A good shoe repair is almost non-existent probably due to the fact that most shoes these days are disposable. 2 stars for a horrible repair but for doing it on short notice."
