"There is a huge issue with this location and their communication amongst their team. Not only do I often have tire caps missing after my visit, there is a huge discrepancy on the status of my vehicle each visit. I had brakes and calipers replaced in Dec 2022, and by Feb 2023, I'm told only my back brakes were replaced. I paid for all four. When I expressed my dismay, I get the basic run down of Les Schwab being number one in warranty, etc etc. Since I began at this location in Feb 2021, I am constantly told different levels of my brake and tire life. One visit, my brakes and tires may be awful, and then the next, they are "fine". Nonetheless, I am expected to trust the "experts". I replaced my front brakes, for the second time (should have been replaced Dec 2022), and replaced my tires. The front left tire and back right were at 33 PSI, while my Front right and Back left were at 41 PSI. I call to ask why and my response is "different people probably worked on each tire". Is that supposed to be a valid excuse? This effects my safety, and the safety on my vehicle. I am not happy with this location, would not recommend them, and will be taking my vehicle elsewhere for a full inspection to ensure what I paid for was actually done."
"Les Schwab (downtown location) forgot to install a lug nut on the front wheel of my 2019 Golf R. This is a vehicle that will be used on a track this year and a wheel falling off could have killed someone. Fortunately, I discovered the missing lug nut, but only after washing the car- several weeks later. I'm unsure how this could be forgotten at a facility that specializes on wheels and tires. Les Schwab also overcharged me for the tires, which obviously less of an issue compared with a missing lug nut. I paid $1909.56, where Costco ($1211.96) and Tire Rack ($1103.96) quote for the identical tire. The model of tires are Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. Paying almost double what the competition is quoting for the same tires, I would have expected higher quality service. They replaced the lug nut after having to bring the car back. Fortunately, there is no obvious damage and nobody was injured, but I will not be returning to this facility."
"Always always take your car to Les Schwab for anything dealing with all components for your wheels, front end, etc. My GM dealership I regularly service my truck at (for a premium too but they’re supposed to be the “expert” on the manufacturer and repair of its parts) had three tries to get my alignment right and fix the most irritating noise coming from my front end. Three tries and they never got it right after keeping my truck for days! So much time, hassle, and money and it looks they really never even looked at the noise because it was just some loose screws!! Dealership was saying around $1,100 to replace the control arms that turn wheels. The very knowledgeable and understanding technician at Schwab tightened the screws for FREE, finally got my alignment right THE FIRST TIME and saved me a ton of money! No more noise or going crazy!! Btw, they fixed a flat for free once before too and always do great work on brakes at the best price. Few businesses out there left like this. Just good decent people across all locations doing hard honest work at a fair price. F the dealership!"
"A good review that is deserved and earned is often overlooked in my honest opinion. I wanted to take a quick pause on Christmas Eve and send a shout out to Les Schwab for really stepping up to the plate, even when they should have and could have fairly turned me away. 4:04 PM on December 23, I walk in the door having just discovered a BOLT in my tire. UGH, it's the holiday and I need to travel on Christmas Eve. I was checked in by a slightly annoyed employee, but I hold nothing against them, I would have been too. I explained my situation and very clearly told them they could turn me away, as I know their staff would want to be home on time the evening before Christmas Eve. Nonetheless offering to turn me away, they took my fob and advised it could take up to an hour but they'd see what they could do. Alas, 35 minutes later I'm called to the desk. Greeting heartily by Logan, he THANKED me for choosing Les Schwab, handed me my fob and sent me on my way. Mind you, it is now 4:45 PM on December 23, they have a PACKED waiting room of less than savory patrons demanding and being rather rude. They have a full staff working tirelessly, despite being 15 minutes prior to closing the day before Christmas Eve... I get a smile, a "thank you", and a express service to get me back on the road. Les Schwab, read this and give Logan the praise he deserves for such service. This guy is solid and knows how to do customer service right. Hold onto him! He's a gem.... THANK YOU LOGAN!"
"Excellent service and speedy turnaround times. This is my go-to tire place! They were very helpful in choosing oversized A/T tires for my rig, even if they did steer me towards their house brand (Backcountry A/T 2). They've always made things right, even when they infrequently make a mistake (I have a lot of custom modifications and self-fabrications on my rig, so it's partly my own fault). Tire costs are slightly higher than discount shops, but that's because so many free perks are included (like lifetime tire rotation, flat repair, and air pressure checks/fills). Alignments here are pricey (my only real complaint), so I purchased lifetime alignments at a different shop. Also, if you're a die-hard offroader, be aware that the Backcountry A/T2 could use some more reinforcement on the sidewalls. Great for Subarus/Rav4s/CR-Vs/crossovers, but not so great for Jeeps/Broncos/Tacomas."
