"I'm not a person who normally leaves bad reviews. Even when I'm not happy, I don't like to complain, because I figure people are just doing their best. But I am so upset and disappointed, and there's nothing I can do but voice my concerns over the quality of this service. I came in initially for a color and cut service. When I scheduled the appointment, I was really careful to mention an important meeting that I had in the afternoon that I could not miss. The receptionist assured me it was more than enough time, after seeing my inspo photos and current hair (I came in in person to schedule the appointment). I walled off 4 hours for it on my schedule, per her suggestion. I communicated this time constraint to McKenna, my stylist, who reassured me that it would be no problem. She put dye on my hair, told me we'd let it sit for 30 mins, and came back 60 mins later to rinse me. She frequently assured me during my appointment that if my new color or cut didn't sit right with me, to reach out for a corrective service. My color wound up a LOT redder than I was expecting, but I let it fly, figuring it was just different and I needed to get used to it. With 30 mins left she started my haircut. At that point I was panicking. She rushed through my haircut, left blocks of unblended hair on the sides. When I asked if she could blend those pieces, she went straight across my bangs with her thinning sheers, clearly in a hurry, and made my bangs jagged and uneven. In a hurry, I thanked her, marveled at the pretty red, and jogged out the door. Lots of mixed feelings, but I had no time to discuss my opinion on the service, and certainly no time to fix any of it. While the color was lovely, it was way too intense of a red for me, and not like the photos I showed her. I wasn't even going to ask for a correction, but my friend said I should. I booked, again, triple checking that I had booked enough time, because this time, it was kid pickup I had to worry about - and inflexible, and critical deadline. When I came in for my appointment, I was told repeatedly that my hair was an excellent match to my inspiration pictures, and that I was just back because I didn't like the way it looked on me. I was told today's service was a "courtesy". They suggested babylights to correct the color. I checked again with the timing for the service, and she said we would have more than enough time. There was a moment, sitting in the chair, when I considered just cutting my losses and leaving before she got started. I should have listened to my gut. Once again, my hair was allowed to overprocess for about an hour. Once again, the stylist was running out of time. She actually told me it was salon policy for a courtesy service that I HAD to stay for the entire blowdry. I kindly told her I would leave when I said I would at the start of the appointment. I left at the time I said I would, with have damp hair. My hair color is...not what I wanted, but I don't even care. What's really horrible is that my hair is now spongy and elastic, completely destroyed by today's process. My salon cape was covered in soft, white broken hairs as she dragged a brush through it in a hurry to dry it. I deeply regret bothering to come back in for a correction. I rushed out of the salon with damp hair to get home in time to receive my kids off the bus. I ran my wet brush through my hair when I got home, and soft, elastic threads of white hair covered my brush. It took me a lot to even be able to come in for this appointment, let alone twice. Hundreds of dollars later, and I'm left with damaged, slightly brown hair, and hours down the drain on my schedule. It will take my hair years to recover from what happened at these appointments. My hair is falling apart and breaking off in my hands, and there's absolutely nothing I can do about it. I lost too much length from the cut, and am now losing length by the minute from the color damage. Far from making me feel more beautiful, I want to put on a wig and cry. Needless to say, I won't be back."
