"I went to Sage Family Practice to have a routine cleaning. My current dentist retired and I pay out of pocket. I was charged an exorbitant fee of $500.00 for x-rays and a head scan but that did not include a cleaning. I was never told before the exam that this office doesn't do cleanings on the first visit. I was only informed that at the end of my appointment. I never would have gone to this office had I known upfront that it would cost $500 without a cleaning which was the only reason I was there. The front desk office representative claimed she told me that information when I checked in but that was not true. Every dental office I have contacted and those used by my friends charge much less and include a cleaning. This office is the only one I have gone to that doesn't perform a dental cleaning on the first visit. I am very disappointed at the lack of communication and the excessive billing."
