Big D's Classic Car Care

"I spent $21,000 at Big D's Classic cars. They had my car for an entire year. "Maybe a 3 month job". The work performed was of low quality. Orange peal on the paint work. Over spray on my windows. Clear coat looks horrible. Paint chipping on my dash. Drips on paintwork, very amature paint and body work. My floor carpeting came loose within days. My stereo stopped working within days. They installed a USED aftermarket radiator that was full of contamination I had to uninstall the radiator and have it flushed. They "polished" my chrome and stainless leaving it scratched and damaged. They did not perform the work I requested, did perform work that I did not request and charged a premium price for sub standard, poor quality work. Everyone I've talked to and has seen the car agrees I GOT SCAMMED. I went back to the shop location to get receipts and a list of work performed. The building was empty. Business owner seemed to be over his head and always complaining about not being able to pay the lease. They are apparently working out of the business owners home now. They will not return my calls and have left me high and dry. I have no receipts or list of work performed. I spent $21k on a car worth $10k. Do not use Big D's Classic Cars. You will regret it. Use a reputable shop. These guys are amateur, low quality and unethical."

"These guys are incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and nice. If you love classics and hot rods, you have to support this business. I came down to Vancouver from Tacoma to look at an 84 El Dorado. It wouldn't start when I got to the seller (not Big D's) and after it did was smoking off the back of the engine compartment. I drove back to Tacoma disappointed and looking for help. Called Mario at Big D's to ask if they would check it out for me. They let me bring it in on Saturday, tested the coolant for hydrocarbons (none) and hooked it up to a voltmeter (checked out). Buying my first Cadillac was an amazing experience and Big D's helped make it possible. Thanks for all your help!"
