"The front desk is a mixed bag. The gal who helps with appointments and general reception is always cheerful and nice with a gregarious laugh. Bonus points for her. The gal in charge of billing, not so much. She seems to have a chip on her shoulder. And if she's responsible for the ridiculous amount of money I paid for a cleaning, well, that's just not ok or ethical. Read on. Even though Bright Now Dental is in network and is covered by my insurance, I was told I needed a "deep cleaning" as I was at risk for periodontal disease, and I ended up paying hundreds out of pocket. Hundreds. Even though I have insurance and this place is in network. I didn't even get my teeth polished in this "deep cleaning." Just ridiculous. I will say that I thought Dr. Lin was kind and professional, at least with me. On the contrary, the orthodontist, who is there only on Fridays, was rude, inconsiderate, and almost robotic in his mannerisms. I did find his assistant to be lovely, though. He should take notes from her professionalism. Needless to say, I'm not going back there. Be careful going to this place. The other negative reviews reflect my own experience. I was absolutely scammed in getting a cleaning. Nobody should have to pay hundreds when their insurance had the clinic and dentist in network."
"When I started going to Bright Now Dental in Gresham I was happy with the cleaning and dentist was very understanding and let me know what he was doing. I went in on Tuesday for my 11:40 am appointment and waited about 20 minutes before getting called to the back. I had a cavity under a crown and had the crown removed and was told by Dr. Lin the cavity was larger than first thought and even with a build up the crown needed more to hold to so I'm told I need gum surgery and had more drilling on my tooth. A temporary tooth was made a few times and I had to have the rubber goop in my mouth a few too many times. I had an anxiety attack while the goop was in my mouth the 4th time. While stitching my gum the girl helping even got stabbed by the needle. I was not told when to return for the crown and not told if the stitches need to be removed or if they dissolve. I'm diabetic and layed in the chair until after 5:30 pm. When I stood up I was very dizzy and shaky. I can't eat with this temporary at all due to the pain. I think the time I had to be there was very unacceptable. I was told not to return and to find another dentist."
"They provided and charged me for services that I did not agree or consent too. After reviewing the itemized bill and wanting clarification, I called and attempted to resolve this with who I am assuming is the office manager. She apologized saying it was due to new staff who are still training and that she would talk to them. She also said she would have explained it to me but thought I knew that an additional service was recommended. She offered to have the hygenist call and explain the service provided to me, after the fact that it was already provided. This is not the issue, which I don't feel she understood. The issue is that this office will apparently provide a service, not inform you what they are doing or the recommendations, and then expect to charge you for a service you were not aware of and not covered by insurance. Understanding patient and consent to treatment is a core concept of anyone working in a health related industry and this location has demonstrated poor patient and billing practice."
"Dr Crowley is very professional, efficient and nice. He has patiently explained the details of the implant that I need to have. This is the first time I visited him, and I could see why he’d received many compliments from his patients."
"Had two fillings scheduled to get done I ended up calling to get an earlier appointment since I started having some pain. When I arrived I waited for an hour before I got called back. They took new xrays for no reason, and Dr. Lin then told me after he looked in my mouth that he didn’t have time to do the fillings after I had got an earlier appointment due to being in pain. Do not go here to get any work done in your mouth. Once I got ready to leave with temporary fillings in my mouth and still in pain the lady at the desk then told me that I had a new treatment plan for more fillings even though no one even said any of that to me. I will never go here again. They don’t even go over what they are billing you for. They just expect you to go with the flow."
