"I was notified I was dismissed from the practice, they made false claims that I missed appointments, the truth is my sister in law has had bad work done and intends to sue them, my nieces were also dismissed from the practice, anyone with our last name was dismissed because they did faulty work, I had a crown done 2 years ago (not the best work either) they gave me a 5 year warranty so looks like I will have to sue for my money back since they breached their own contract."

"I went in to get 3 fillings after being rescheduled 2 times, the first shot of numbing did not work. I expressed this to the doctor (Steven Marandas). He gave me a second shot and I could still feel, he then proceeded to say it was “anxiety” and refused to work on me. Not sure if he missed the spot he needed, I’m no dentist or doctor but I’ve never had “anxiety” that causes my face to have complete feeling and mobility after being numbed. It slowly started to go numb as I was leaving and I was told it was supposed to be instant and they referred me somewhere else because of my “anxiety”. I have been going there for over 6 years and never had this issue, not once. I apologized to the doctor for the inconvenience and he ignored me and walked away. On the bright side the dental assistant and the receptionist (amber) were very understanding and kind. Update: I went to the arbor dental in Vancouver 2 weeks after and I was completely fine. Went numb as usual."

"I see some of the negative reviews and get what your saying. I will say that I had an amazing experience with Dr. Mattos and two different dental assistants. First visit was my first time to the dentist in years so I was expecting the worst. Well only ended up needing a tooth pulled and a deep cleaning. I went in the next day was seen before my appointment time and although my extraction was difficult and took a lot longer than I expected. I did not feel a thing. I'm definitely going back for my next appointment. I enjoyed my interaction with the front office they showed me nothing but kindness and respect."

"Every month when I pay my bill I get angry because of these people. When I went to them for dental help I had insurance and the dental office said my insurance would pay for almost all of my work. So we proceeded with the work, then after all was said and done I was informed that the insurance would not pay because pre-authorization was needed. So now I was stuck with a $800 bill that they say "It's ok you can pay monthly till paid off". THANKS! Went in another time for a quick adjustment on the dental work and sat there for over an hour and finally left. Have not gone back since and would not recommend."
