"Posted 2/5/2024 The last time I went to Ickabod's I was looking for a place to wait until a shopping order was fulfilled. I wanted a friendly spot, where I could get good coffee and just hang out. I have become friends with most of the staff - sharing what's going on in our lives. Even though that's what we're doing, I'm constantly being asked if I need/want anything else, the coffee is refilled as are my water and soft drink. Not much new to say... owners and staff alike, all are the best!!! 8/12/2023 Today, Saturday, I didn't have anything to do so I decided to go out to brunch. The attached video will explain the rest =====≠==== The food is constantly good. My 'go to' is the pulled pork sandwich. This time I had the southern fried chicken bites. They were great as always. (My 2nd go to dish) My friend had never had them. She was astounded... the sweet honey chili sauce makes chicken bites an entirely different meal. Of course the chicken is tender and fried to a crispy golden brown. Last time I had the brisket. Normally I have their house salad and home made honey mustard dressing. Over many years, I've sampled the entire menu... not one 'dog'. Everything is above average and the pork is the best within 50 miles or more. Next time I'll revisit the baby back ribs. Do NOT miss this established neighborhood pub! Well, I visited today, 12/26/2022. This time I brought my friend, Jason. Somehow, he had listened to a mutual friend who found fault with Ickabod's and avoided it. Luckily, he trusts my judgement when it comes to food so he joined me tonight. I'll say he's glad he did! I took a few photos knowing that I'd want to do another review. Some were in the men's room to compare it with recent eateries I've reviewed. NOTE! Ickabod's men's room is about as spotless as anyone could ask for. Jason wanted a selfie of us and I may include it. Stay tuned foodies, Bill will steer you right! Signing off for now... and please share the joys of food. Yep... back again. Even though I had lunch at the senior center a snack here was attractive. BLT & salad with honey mustard dressing, a coke and a peanut butter pie to go! What's not to like? I ate so fast that I only have a picture of the pie and the bill. Sorry... but you know how it is... Updated the ratings... think service is great and personally, I like the atmosphere. 2/26/2023 I wasn't going to review Ickabod's again but... see 3/30/2023 video."

"Breakfast rocks. Their gravy is awesome on Chicken Fried Steak or Biscuits. Probably great out of a soup cup too, but I need a bigger breakfast than just that. Spanish Coffee for scale."

"Was a quiet bar when we went for an early lunch after a gfs dr appt. Family ran, friendly customer service, food was amazing, drinks were delicious. Would 10 out of 10 recommend!!"
